At last!!! ... a down to earth video clip without music. Thanks for posting it Skegg! ... oh, by the way, the Low Rider ST looks best in black (much better than the mouldy bread grey).
Haha moldy bread gray! First time I've seen it described that way. Generally, I like the battleship gray, but I also think the wheels should've been done in a different color to better match that moldy bread.
Ordered mine two months ago. Had to wait on Harley's 'down time.' Got the 'IT'S ON THE WAY' call yesterday. Going with the gray.....truck is gray...hair is gray... Downsizing from a Street Glide. One thing I'll miss is the floorboards.
You got me with "hair is grey", mine would be well on the way I had any. Check out thrashin supply's mini floorboards before going with full floorboards. I'm actually going to go with the Kuryakyn Riot mini-floorboards.
Congratulations on the new bike, Great first impressions!! I finally seen one today in person for the first time in the gray…. I going to edit my review on it soon. 🍻
This bike checks all the boxes for me. Gotta wait til next spring. But…I also dig Road King Special, but I’m leaning more towards LST. Black is my thing too, couldn’t agree more about gunship grey and bronze! They should have blacked out rims on grey
Yep. Typical Harley. But they got a lot of things right on this one. Just needs a few touches to make it just right. Some things are irritating for a bike that cost $25k but if I was cheap I'd have a honda shadow.
This might be my first Harley but you are right about the ugly air filter the bike would be even better with top loaded boxes like what’s on the street glide
The stealth kits from S&S are supposed to perform really well which is why I've purchased them twice. I don't like paying for screaming eagle parts. They are probably better than base parts but I doubt the put the R&D into them that S&S does.
Wonderful video, thanks 1 million for introducing me to this new motorcycle. I’m currently on a V twin adventure bike, the Moto Guzzi V85 and I love it but I’m getting older and feel like I need something a bit more comfortable to do long trips with. I look forward to see if my local dealer has in mind as far as inventory is concerned.
For the most part yes. My streetglide does a better job, but the ST is sufficient. Wind hits me about mid helmet and I'm 6 feet tall. When someone releases a tinted 10" wind screen I will swap to that.
Agree regarding the heavy breather. Just bought a 2022 Street Glide ST, got almost 500 miles on it. I finally decided to replace stock breather with screaming eagle part. I'm 6ft2, riding along was ok with feet on floor boards, but had to awkwardly slide lower leg around breather to use rear brake. Have ridden numerous Harley touring bikes for 12 years (SGs, RG, RKs, a few softtails). This SGST is my fourth street glide, love the 117, got S&S muffs/Stage 1, ordered Saddlemen Road Sofa Ext, may upgrade rear suspension (Legends/Wilbers??). Only disappointment regarding my ST is that it didn't come with RDRS (Rider Safety Enhancements). Unlike most touring models, some SGSTs/RGSTs come with RDRS, some don't. But overall, I'm very happy with my SGST. Good video, thanks for your efforts.
I know this video is old. But why not just get the S and put your own stuff on it. the gage on the S is better and you spend $2K less. ST is accessorized...with stuff you probably won't keep. Buy the S.
Because the gauge you’re talking about is like $200. But to put the fairing and bags on an S would cost much more than 2k and still not be finished as nicely. What you’re saying is actually the opposite of what’s true. Other than that the S is exactly the same and you’re still going to take the same stuff off.
@@brianbutler307 I hear ya. What I'm saying is I don't like the ST bags. If you actually use them, they're gonna get messed up. They're rigid and painted. I can't imagine they'd look good for long after a toss or two on a hotel bed. They're clumsy. I'd rather equip my bike with something more useful.
Man are you insane, that breather is bad ass, really!!!!!
Very good review. Short & sweet.
Beautiful bike. I have one on my radar. I appreciate your broader perspective than merely as a comparison to other Harleys.
Love the info you put out for aftermarket manufacturers. And it's a great bike!
Looks better in black. Great choice.

Haha sent this reply from my moms computer so it showed up as her.
Very intersiting view on the ST..I am thinking about selling my FXDLS and go for this bike.....keep me posted ;)

Thanks! Gonna be a fun one this summer.

Interested in your bar set up when its in. I'll be going with LRST as well and am interested in this content and what guys are doing. Cheers!
Check my newer vids!

Keep watching! I’ll update as I put more miles and mods on the bike.
Yes i agree . i am getting one !!!! Black . fxr . 2022 finally .!!
You can pick any color you want as long as its black
Not feeling the bronze wheels, but I do like the air cleaner though. I think that it adds extra character to the bike.
Beautiful bike…congrats!
Thanks! Been having a blast on it so far.
Great review! The cover ring fell off mine as well, luckily a brother of mine picked it up. What is the product you used to keep it on?
I just used some black silicone adhesive and it has worked great.
I have got to have one.
Great info I am 6’2 thinking about an ST myself 👍
You might feel a little cramped at first but try out the crash bar before getting forwards.
@@skeggst2957 I'm 6'1" and sat on one the other day. Felt cramp and the dealer suggested forwards. Thanks for the advice. May I ask how tall you are?
Just read you are 6'. thanks!
nice bike boss!!!
I wanted you to talk more about the fairing
Ok what about it?
@@skeggst2957 is the fairing frame mounted ? Quick detachable ? Thanks
Thanks 👊👊
Beautiful bike and I like the mod ideas you have. Have you taken it on any extended rides yet?
Not as of yet. Unless you consider 150 miles extended. I don’t. But it was great for that distance.
Still can’t find one to look at. Dealers say I have to order one. That’s a hard no.
It's a unicorn right now.
What is the wind protection , buffeting like better than the stree glide.
Sweet looking bike… does the fairing give you good protection from the wind?
For the most part yes. My streetglide does a better job, but the ST is sufficient. Wind hits me about mid helmet and I'm 6 feet tall. When someone releases a tinted 10" wind screen I will swap to that.
Is it possible to put a road glide faring it someone else did on a 2020 low rider
Anything is possible I I don’t know why you would. For the money it would cost to do it you could just buy a road glide instead.
Beautiful bike , BUT, I can't get past the screwed up saddlebags.
Maybe someone will release either a larger right side or smaller left side bag.
How much $
$25k out the door. Taxes and all.
@@brianbutler307 good deal.. Ny is a little more expensive.. I also have the stereo comin .. I was 28 otd
I will pay MSRP but not 6,000 over.
I paid $25k out the door
For what it's worth, I don't care for fancy intros, music etc. Frankly, I've quit videos because of the music.

Needs a Hydraulic clutch. Wtf
Clutch feels good in the M8
