Im Sorry But No Matter what you do you will Not convice Me that the entire Series From the Second they Met isn't Just arthur trying and Failing to internally Convince Himself Hes Not in love with merlin
Yeah Merlin accepted it. But he couldn't do anything about it since he was the mere servant... It's so sad. Remember the scene where he said "i know it's hard for you to understand how i feel..." And that Arthur looked really shocked (but he wasn't disgusted at all) cause he thought Merlin was about to confess. The show was OBVIOUSLY written as a gay show. But since it's an Old show, they couldn't do it openly. So they do the same thing as they do in current homophobic countries, they show us a gay couple, but in a way that may be perceived as brotherhood by homophobics, so they don't get in trouble with the law. It's so sad.
