  • The Hadith Jibril remains one of the most studied hadith due to its succinct summation of Islam as belief and practice. The latter part of the hadith reveals two important signs of when the [Last] Hour is imminent. In this lecture, Dr. Ali Ataie discusses the signs and warnings foretold by the Messenger of God ﷺ, many of which have already revealed themselves.

    He is one of the rarest Muslim scholars of all time who is expert in religious intertextuality, a giant in comparative religion, a pride of the ummah. May Allah preserve him.

    “Vertical aspect of reality “ beautiful concept ! I think I follow you.
    Dr. Ali Ataie is an incredible scholar. His talks are ordered, rational, and enfold in an orderly fashion. Thank you for the effort you make sir. We hear a lot of scholars who are unfortunately and fundamentally lazy and do not organize their speech or lecture in an appropriate fashion, leaving the listener to pick and chose the nuggets of knowledge. You sir on the other hand offer a style that should be used as a template! Much appreciated!

    The nasheeds Zaytuna uses at the beginning of videos immediately take me back to childhood Eid and Mawlid in Tangier and Tetouan when we used to bring over a group of tulba (Quran reciters and singers). Extremely nostalgic :).

      @TarekMarzouki Judging from their accents, these are the preppy Fes tulba: ua-cam.com/video/j6CIOeaPkTQ/v-deo.html
      Ours in Tangier were a bit more rugged: ua-cam.com/video/sq6aVaaupdk/v-deo.html

    Thank you beloved Ustadh . Jibril put his hands on his own thighs. The pronoun goes to him no to the holy messenger (peace be upon him) . Your brother Mouhamed Sakho

    • @yaqubarfaj
      @yaqubarfaj 9 місяців тому

      It can have both meanings, but I always thought it meant that Jibril put his hands on the prophet’s thighs as an expression of closeness and love. I will consult local scholars and put their view ان شاء الله

    • @yaqubarfaj
      @yaqubarfaj 9 місяців тому +3

      Ok! After reviewing the issue w/ some schools, I got answers agreeing w/ your view, so that Jibril عليه السلام sat as if he was doing Tashahud in Salah (which is the way a learner is supposed to sit in front of their teacher). However, there are other valid opinions agreeing with what was stated by the speaker. So both opinions are respected in our tradition.

    • @yaqubarfaj
      @yaqubarfaj 9 місяців тому

      Scholars have seen both to be valid on his own or on the prophet’s ﷺ
