some of these trucks are 24 v and some folks are switching to 12v -- the prob. with that is the starter is 24 volt the gen is 24v the head lights 24 v dist 24v so you end half power every where to save buying a battery

Gee.. you must be really brave indeed!Be sure to check how to remove rust using electrolysis for those small and seemingly too far gone iron parts. You might be able to save some otherwise unsalvageable parts this way. It's a slow process, you need to be careful with the chemistry a bit and you must make sure you get the polarity right! I think it's also good for items with a lot of detail on them hidden by the rust.
Good luck with your project and make sure to post your progress on yt!

Screw that old thing I'd have sold the farm for the command car in primer next to it. Any ideas what it went for?
I think power wagons if Iowa is who I bought a lot from in the 90s thru 2000. Not sure if they are still there.
Everything on these old trucks is heavy duty.
    Thanks for the memories.

If only we had known what a Command Car was worth. I have bought 2 since then.

@@dodgerehab6984 really? Are you doing videos about them? The commands and carryalls are my favorites, especially the carryalls with the 4 cyl cumins conversion although the old flathead 6s are great motors. Where can I see your command cars?

@@49walker44 I may do an overview video soon on my WC24. The WC6 I had is sold now, being restored. The 24 is next on the restoration list once the M37 and WC21 are finished.

No it's not. It is a WC55 that was retrofitted to WC52 standard in June of 1943.

Great photos, dumb song... A docudrama like this doesn't need any music, only narrative.
