Great comparison and great footage. SJ7 looks like a beast, amazing quality. For the price, it's definitely one of the best sports cameras you can buy.
SJ7 Star gets more highlights "blown out" in direct sunlight - like when the SUV is going around in circles and facing the sun. A large part of the skies around the sun becomes white and loses detail and depth. On the GoPro, the blown-out portion is smaller and more details are visible. 0:50 in this video. Lots of halos (glare) at night on SJ7 at 6:45 in this video.

Because it's dark. The more light there is, the faster the FPS can be. The darker it is, the camera has to have longer exposure. This is basic physics.
За то сейчас уж 7я вышла и 8я кажется, там вообще качество атас 🙃 дорого, но надёжно. А так, думаю, кишки у всех одинаковые. Аппаратно зажаты или наоборот

To anyone who is saying that the frame rate is noticably slower on the SJ7, that is no longer an issue in the newest (1.13) firmware update.
Not true. I have the 1.15 firmware and low-light shots still look terrible like this

Sj seams to be the winner for me considering the pricing. The Hero4 has some better night quallity, aswell as sound quality than the SJ however.

данная особеность была на первой 1,0 прошивке, сейчас на 1.13 все ок, пропусков кадров нету

Zero difference. Low frame rate is because of turning on the low light mode.
it's funny that sj7 uses sony's sensor but sucks at low light performance, idk why.
