I just finished my gasifier base on the design of Ben Peterson. I use wood chip with about 10-20% moisture. After few hours of running my 5kW generator I have issues with the filter because of the moisture. It requires a lot of maintenance because of it. It works perfectly on charcoal but it is time consuming to produce or expensive to buy and I would like to run it on wood chips only. Do you know how to solve this problem? I have video of the machine while running the generator (winter and summer condition) if you have time and are interested to look at it.
yes, in order not to remake the gas generator - let the gas go through three more barrels with an opening lid for 200 liters and the gas will go clean. Pour ordinary wood chips into the barrels, and at the bottom of the barrels there is a tap for draining the water. It's just that Ben, apparently, does not cope with the cleaning filter. This is the problem of all converts. Need a bigger filter.
