here is moose's pattern test of his franchi affinity 3 20 gauge with the pinhoti .585 & patternmaster black mamba .590 with a custom 3 inch 1 7/8 oz payload of 3/4 of 7's & 1 1/8 oz of 9's from salt creek custom ammunition at 40 yards

I went with the Primos Tightwad .570 choke, and Herter’s TSS #9s in my wife’s Affinity 20 ga, thanks to watching you guys bring the heat with this combo in your pattern testing! This season, that combo has been absolute lights out, and is 3 for 3 on gobblers! Really impressive performance, and also mounted a Sightron SRS2 red dot on a Meadow Creek mount to turn this 20 gauge into a stone cold killer. I even managed to make a left handed shot on my last gobbler this week, since he was trying to sneak in on my weak side, and the red dot made all of the difference! Thanks for all of the great content, and let’s hit 30K subscribers!!

Both chokes got the #7's to center up-- finally. I'd hunt with it and the Black Mamba.
Makes me wonder what a straight 2-1/8 load would look like.

Big Red! Funky patterns. I agree with you guys 100% 1 7/8 is to much. 1 5/8 seems to be ideal.
But it’s more fun to try to get this to hammer! 1 5/8oz loads are to easy to get to hammer ahahah

It's the #7's that make it difficult, IMO.
It very well could be! But we’ve shot straight 9’s 1 7/8 oz load and in everything except my anaconda striker it acted the same
Have u guys tried any longbeard recently to see if its performing like it used to because I no for me and the guys I hunt with the last to seasons it didn’t pattern like it did in the past love the channel
It hasn’t been warm enough to shoot lead yet, as soon as it is we will be shooting it

I also agree with moose, 1 7/8 is just a little too much for a 20ga. 1 1/2 to 1 5/8 is plenty.
Got more shells to play with! I do agree as well but it’s more fun to try to get this to pattern!
Try a Carlson Long Beard XR .568& rogue #9 1 7/8 oz much better than both of those
