So this small jealous fandom has always been spreading information that Sarah Geronimo is “just a dancer” who cannot sing “Live!”. Just because Sarah is untouchable by any local female pop artist in the dancefloor, they always try to make the public believe that Sarah is just another tiny-voiced pop singer (like Britney Spears, Ciara, and Jennifer Lopez) who is only capable of showcasing dance moves in her live performances and cannot showcase any singing prowess at all. They strongly claim that Sarah is just one of those female popstars who would need to rely on AUTO-TUNE and LIP SYNCING just to produce decent vocals LIVE.

Contrary to what the local birit addicts community on UA-cam say, you don’t need to have a 5 OCTAVE VOCAL RANGE to be a great singer. There are many wide-ranged belters in the country but most of their voices lack substance, thickness, body, versatility, texture, dynamics, and technical variations. Most of them are only focused on reaching the lowest and the highest note that they could reach, but the other aspects of singing are often being abandoned and left PLAIN.
Sarah only has 3-4 octave range, but she can showcase A LOT vocally as you can see in the video. She is capable of singing DIFFERENT GENRES with the appropriate TECHNIQUE, PLACEMENT, STYLE, TONE, ACCENT, TEXTURE, DYNAMICS, PHRASING, & VIBRATO the genre is needing. Her vocal range is still WIDE even without trying to sound like a CONTRALTO or a HIGH SOPRANO. She has inconsistencies and flaws just like EVERY CONTEMPORARY SINGER. It’s pretty normal. But in good condition, you can all clearly see & hear that her voice can really slay with POWER, STYLE, TONE, SOUL, and VERSATILITY.
First of all, the FULLNESS and the THICKNESS of her chest tone when using an open throat technique sounds NATURAL. It does not contain any HOLLOWNESS unlike most local belters trying to darken their tones. Her low notes in a low breathing placement is SOLID and sounds CONNECTED to her natural chest tone. Her low notes in a heady breathing placement is not as strong as the ones in a chestier breathing placement, but she can unbelievably reach up to C#3/C3 without being too chesty with her low notes. Her vibrato is very diverse and changes depending on the genre. Her vibrato in a chesty placement is really STRONG & THICK. Her open middle belts are really POWERFUL. She has one of the most NATURALLY powerful middle belts in the country. It contains a distinguishable Mezzo ROBUSTNESS & PUNCH. Her upperbelts are her most diverse registers. She keeps improving her techniques through the years with the help of vocal coaching. She is capable of belting in a chesty mix, balanced mix, and heady mix. She is also capable of mimicking the upperbelting techniques of Whitney, Celine, Beyonce, Mariah, Aretha, Lara Fabian, and other Soul/Gospel singers without damaging her vocals (developing nodules). Her head voice is naturally RICH and MEZZO-like and is perfect for genres like GOSPEL, SOUL, & JAZZ. Her agility is not as consistent as Kyla or Katrina, but she's also extremely agile especially in her Mezzo range. Her growls are properly placed and BEST IN QUALITY among all local singers. There is no other local belter who can mimic the sound of her growls. Her dynamics are always natural and never exaggerated (for showing off purposes). She has great knowledge on PHRASINGS & ACCENTS appropriate to the genre she is singing which makes her versatility untouchable in the country.
Singers like Charice, Rhap Salazar, Jessica Sanchez, Morissette, Darren Espanto, Lucas Garcia, Juan Karlos, Ebe Dancel, Rico Blanco, Bamboo, Katrina Velarde, Sheena Belarmino, and Mariel Montellano have all expressed their strong admiration for Sarah Geronimo. David Foster wanted her to sing with Charice too. She won a Classic Rock Award with her Rock version of “Anak”.

Aside from her talent SG is the most focus and genius artist among all. Thats what i noticed. She knows how to use her strenght and knows how to treat her weakness so well and you always see the fire in her and she never gets tired in nurturing her self/talent. Thats why she keeps improving everytime. She never stop learning even how good she is now. That what makes her different from any other singer/artist and she never talk about her achievements what a humble person.

Sarah G is the geatest of all! She doesn’t need to belt to be called a singer. She herself has learned how to use her vocal prowess and she’s the best vocalist for me. A true total performer. What I liked most about Sarah's vocalist side is her masked belting - sobrang soothing pakinggan, and very powerful. Just look at 8:08 , pure eargasm. Never heard of any other single Filipina singer who has that kind of belting technique.
