Ginni Cheema it went great! I had the osteoblastoma in my thoracic spine, I wanna say it was a fast surgery but I don’t really remember, I personally had little bit of pain but the meds really help, it’s about to be June and my doctor said I can start playing sports again, if your worried don’t be man! Everything will be fine good luck dude! 👍
john C thanks for responding and good to hear you are feeling better. I have in my T6 thoracic spine as well. Did they just removed the tumour ? I had my 1 st surgery in 2015 and they removed the tumour by scraping my thoracic spine but it started growing back after 4 years. Now they are going to cut some piece of bone and put a rod and screw it to support the spine. Its going to be a big surgery now.
Ginni Cheema they removed the rumor and a piece of my spine, I believe I have 2 rods and like 5 screws as well, sorry to hear that you have to go through this again :/ hopefully this ones the one 👍
Visual learning memory aids have blundered by not showing the words of the associated diseases we are to visually recognize. After all, we wont be hearing the diseases but reading them. "Which disease was in the foreground again?"
Hi Micah, we appreciate the feedback. Our other videos usually split each disease into its own scene to prevent any confusion you've described. This being said, comparing/contrasting these two osteoblast tumors was deemed to be more important for this video. Most people easily recall one or two facts about a disease, but remembering every fact in context is hard. For instance, most students know that osteoid osteoma is the smaller lesion, or that osteoblastoma affects the vertebrae. Keeping all the other facts straight is what's difficult - and that's exactly what this scene aims to make easier. Our team fully believes in the benefit of visual aids, supported by decades of cognitive science research. This being said, we're happy to address any questions or concerns.
