I’m with Maggie here. I get that Bianca was upset with her mom. Mother/Daughter relationships are complicated at the best of times. But Erica was honestly just trying to protect her child from prison. She knew all too well that your mind can react to trauma and shock in different ways, and was afraid that Bianca could have hurt Frankie, especially since she couldn’t remember what happened. Erica wasn’t a perfect parent (I’ve yet to meet one), but she loved her daughter, and did what she felt was best at the time. As Maggie said, there are a lot of people who would love to have a mother who loved them as much as Erica loved Bianca, even when that love didn’t always come in the form she felt it should.
Mine definitely would have. For me, anyway. They weren’t really upset when my brother didn’t go to colleges, but freaked when I even mentioned. But, I’m glad I went. I’m proud of my degree.

Erica gets a lot of flak, but most parents would freak out if their kids said they were bailing on college.
Yep! University, Community College or military those were the only options in my family. 😩
