Ie flip the gate / gates And while "dragging " the pen lift the skids a few inches in the direction of your tow Maybe even consider putting some flat bar skids on the corners where you've cut the bevel they don't have to be too long
Thanks for sharing as you probably have heard from other people. It is really interesting to see you guys solve problems with your animals in moving them or feeding them or whatever is needed. I'm so glad things went well with separating her. ❤❤❤👳♀️❤❤❤
I think some simple sheets of hard plastic nailed to the underside of the "sleigh" tips would help it glide over the grass. Something simple like those flexible, thin plastic cutting boards. I always wondered why homesteaders never put glide strips under their pens as they move them around so much. Try it!
Good morning Lumnah family. Sorry to hear that about sweet potato. Cattle would have that happen and would push back in and sew it shut for the time. Always something on a farm. Thanks for sharing. Pray things work out for you all.
When moving somethnig like hat mobile pig pen, the lower part isn't braced, as you could see. Put in some temp cross bracing to make sure it doesn't fold in. Put them on with screws, move it, and when finished, take them off.
Hello Lumnah family. I am in Neosho Missouri and we are finally getting some snow and it's cold outside. I watch all of your videos and love seeing your farm animals.
You are Awesome homesteaders, figuring out and planning your off grid homesteading building and caring for your herds and animals with the barn. Great work Al Gina and Olivia.
Whoa! I was questioning the pen move, but the extra little braces you screwed on helped out. Im glad that the prolapse healed itself, no medical procedure necessary. Love ya'll ❤️
Love seeing all the critters, even sweet Hope!! I was curious as to when you will have coffee available. Making my own cold brew and lovin it but realize I need to get more this next time around!! Especially decaf cause I enjoy a cup throughout the day!!!
So happy Sweet Potato is doing fine. She was a real trouper getting over to her new location. You made it look easy, Al. Thanks for sharing this mishap. Y'all have a Blessed day.
I love how nosey the cows were while you were moving Sweet Potato around. They sure were keeping an eye on your shenanigans. Lol So many things happen on a homestead. You just never know. So glad Sweet Potato seems to be doing better.
A little late but you could easily move the pivot mounts to the other post and flip the gate. Two holes in the opposite side. Admire your care of your animals! Thanks for sharing>
I just want to say I love watching your videos and love watching you build things. I want to say thank you for wearing the hoodie you had on supporting firefighters. I am a reserve firefighter/EMT with Arkansas City Fire/EMS Dept. In Arkansas City, Kansas. Please keep up the great work and stay safe.
Al and Gina that’s great news about sweet potato 🍠 you guys had me thinking that Azalea 🌺 had lost her baby thank goodness she is still fine also may sweet potato 🍠 not have any more issues 👍✅😮😊❤
Cookie and Azier so funny they just sit and watch like dogs. They don’t even run away. They’re not scared of anything you’re doing you guys have done an amazing job with helping them. Trust you… Cookies like is that for me that looks pretty cool lol
Good(cold) morning Al, Gina, Sweet-P and all the Lumnah family&friends. Hope things go well with Sweet-P, all your eggs are in one basket ! Have a great week, snow will come soon, watching views go up as I type, just went over 9K in one hour, thumbs up Lumnah acres !!
Hi Al, Gina, and Miss Olivia. So happy Sweet Potato is fine.😊 Were are now getting the snow in Oklahoma. First I thought we would miss it but it got us going to snow all day into Friday morning. The only thing I hope it does enough to make snow ice cream. One of my favorite thing growing up.❤😊
That sounds like a great tradition! I've never heard of doing that. Great idea. Truly enjoying the snow. I always like how Lucy says she waits for January snowflakes before she taste's them in the "Charlie Brown Christmas" show. I wonder if January snowflakes taste better than December snowflakes? You would know! Have a happy 2025!
Good Morning Lumnah World! It is a brisk 26 F a good 60 F below our summer normal here coastal Virginia. The simple joys of farm life. Hopefully Sweet Potato is back to normal?
Goooood morning Lumnah acres friends Al ,Gina, Olivia and Brutus the supervisor. I'm sorry to hear about sweetpotatoe ad hope the best for her. I see the snow has melted but the cold weather is there.
Good Thursday mornin New Ham🐖Shire .... yikes .... that was a bit of a scare. Hope Sweet Po'tater has a full recovery🤞🏻🤞🏻 Take care AL, Gina & Olivia .... have a nice day🚜🐖🐻🐮🐄⛄✌🏻
Dr. Pol on National Geografic invented a really simple way to fix that prolapse. A piece of PVC with a groove inserted and wrapped a rubber band around it. The prplapse will die and fall off.
That is a common and very effective method of repairing a prolapse and does not require sedation. Not sure if vets in the Northeast would do something like that. I allows the pig to defecate and when the prolapse is healed the PVC falls out.
Go to meetfabric.com/LUMNAH and apply today, risk-free
Good to see Hope. She used to be one of the stars of the homestead.
I appreciate your sharing of all the farm’s woes. Not an easy life but certainly very rewarding. Thanks for letting us join with you! ❤
I enjoy the way ya'll address the different situations that come up on the homestead.
So happy that everything worked out so well with your pig. Your animals are so well cared for it’s a beautiful thing to see!
Yay! Thanks for her update!,
Boy, she got really quiet when you poured that milk. Great to hear she's doing well . Hope the piglets come out healthy . Prayers 🙏🏼
Enjoyed your channel for years and wish you a fantastic 2025. From Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ❤
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
NEVER a dull moment on the "off grid" farm. Best wishes for the "New Year".
I love that the Goats and the old flock of chickens are just free range now. CWC RIP.

3:25 - I hope using the snow blower auger as a chain anchor point did not hurt the unit.
Good point Sam, not made for Towing might be a little on the warped side now ! But if so AL will fix it 😂👍🏼
Thanks for the update on SP! A prolapse is pretty common, but in a pregnant hog it’s pretty dangerous as you’ve discovered. Glad it all worked out.
I love how curious all the animals are when you make changes on the homestead. I'm glad Sweetpotato is doing well.
Farm animals are very observant. They get very used to their environment. We'll put in a new fence post and they notice.😂
Glad Sweet Potato is doing well. 🐖💚
So glad to hear this
Great outcome. Thank you❤️🙏🙂

Sprinkle a little lime in tote it disinfects it then put the bedding, doesn't hurt the animals. We used to do that when we had pigs.
Good Morning Lumnah's! Adapt and overcome, phrase of the day.

Shop door paint is calling your name. I was hoping for a nice forest green.
Would it help to have wheels on your shelter?
Trailer jack with tire on each corner.
Raise and lower the wheels as needed.
