all Grey Wardens faint after surviving their joining..........except Oghren. Oghren? he makes the taint his bitch. he appears to be the Chuck Norris of Grey Wardens.
That's the way it goes, sometimes. Look at JG Perry-Thomas. Guy broke a land speed record only to have the chain on his car's pulley system break off and (partially) decapitate him. He was killed immediately.
@@suwatsaksri7191 She wasnt really a redshirt, at the time they gave her a full trailer presence, a friendship meter and leveling function too. She was a full character with motivation, purpose and personality. Her death just showed how dangerous and random the Joining is.
9 years old but yeah they designed her to be a full character with skills, leveling, personality, depth, motivation and even a friendship bar but her death shows just how random and deadly the Joining is, it doesnt decide based on worth, strength or ability.
"Poor Mhairi. What a waste of a fine piece of ass." ^ This. This game failed to have a positive and decently developed human and female character after this, thanks to their need to justify showing the consequences of the joining, AGAIN, with risks involved. Lame. Yet another reason Awakening blew ass compared to Origin. I mean 2 male humans? Really? One of which who was dreadfully boring. 3 if you add Justice. What a boy's club!
And yet 3 female humans is somehow fine? Wynne should have been a city elf, would have been far more interesting given her relation with her protecting spirit. I feel with her being human that was mostly a missed opportunity. Also could have been a chance to really dig deep into having a character that ironically, despite being raised in a human city knows and studies more on elven history (or was taught some manner of the culture by her parents) than Zevran, and they could have added a crisis of faith personal quest where you help decide whether Wynne continues to embrace the faith of the chantry with her life in the mage circle, or with the guidance of her spirit, comes to truly better understand the elven faith and escapes the circle.
@@babauranai Lol not sure I'm seeing the equivalence but I just feel like it would have given a varied party without it feeling forced for the sake of "muh diversity" I mean you already just have 2 other human female characters, one of which is already a mage. Seems strange how archetypal of a game Dragon Age Origins was in all ways to traditional fantasy, yet no playable elven mage? Her character could have been simply altered a bit if you are implying she has something that puts her at odds with elves (nothing I'm aware of) while still having her guardian spirit arc.

Oghren?
he makes the taint his bitch.

It's funny how calm music is playing while mhairi dies
And here I thought Mhairi was going to be one of the main characters. Poor girl killed by her own dream.

Welp, at least she's reincarnated as the Inquisitor (same VA).
@@nh_illustrates She is also the voice of Ser Cauthrien (the female knight who is Loghain's right hand).
Mhari dies, anders faints and all oghren does is burp. Lol
i feel so sorry for mhairi i wished she lived in stead of the mage
She was a red shirt (literaly) what did you expect?
Suwat Saksri Howe dying instead? He was a boring character.
"i wished she lived in stead of the mage"
So does the majority of the populace of Kirkwall, and probably Thedas as well...
Seriously, Anders > Mhairi. Guy was honestly the most interesting of the new companions in that expansion.

R.I.P., Robin Sachs (the voice of Seneschal Varel in this expansion).
Me:
First play: OMG NO, MHAIRI NO, THAT'S SO UNFAIR.
Fourth: Yeah yeah, skip, skip, skip, just die
Oghren, best Joining cutscene EVER !
Thumps up for Oghren!
Poor Mhairi. I was hoping she would've lived. 😢 Oghren was funny though.
i love this dwarf he is funny hehehe
in my playthrough, i gave Seneschal Varel a modified Arl Eamon Guerrin head :P
EA: you like this Mhairi character?
Every fan: yes
EA: sike!
How doyou not let Mhairi die?! If there isn't a way then what the hell is the point in setting her skills and leveling her up?

just like bethany/carver in dragon age 2 yet 1 of them dies
Nachdem ich jetzt auch Anders' Gesicht gesehen hat sich die Frage erledigt.
Das ist einfach nicht die PC Version :D
what she dies
Hast du'n mod für Varels Gesicht verwendet? Der sieht so ganz anders aus...
How you can save Mhairi?
You can't. :(
Unless there's a mod out there that makes her survive, but it just wouldn't be the same.
i rofl for real XD
"I have awaited this moment."
Me too.
I never hated a character so much in such a short time.

pick a human female warden. problem solved.
@@metintatari7148 I think Wing X Custom is referring to NPCs, not PCs.
