    Very underrated fork. I have been shredding my Epixon thru axle version for 2 years without being service and still feels thesame since I bought it.

      Before I get 27.5 bike.. I already use epicon from 2010 on my 26er trail bike and still working till now and now I'm use epixon 27.5 version for my 27.5 trail bike. My opinion just service the suspension when the time has come.. It's really good and value for money..

    Great video! OP never looked better! You definitely made the smart play by shopping around. After watching your review, I'm considering making a change to the front susp on Boris. The cost is reasonable and the potential ride improvement would be worth it.

    I have one myself too but i have the stealth version (all black) and set to 120mm travel. Great fork for its value and feels great on roots and bumps. 🤘 try getting a Suntour rear shock as well, you'd be stoked how plush it feels

    I've ordered this same fork and can't wait to get to swap in out with xcm 30 springer. During my research I found that this budget version of this fork doesn't have a serviceable rebound/lockout unit. The one from Suntour has the serviceable unit and therefore more expensive. A replacement basic unit is about $60 and the upgraded unit is $160. If I lived in North America I'd of used the upgrade program but after shipping and tax I'd of been looking at over £300 sterling and for that money I'd rather get Rock shoxs or Manitou. I'm still looking forward to riding the fork and for light to medium trail use I'm not too worried about the serviceability of the rebound unit.

    • @adamclark7564
      @adamclark7564 3 роки тому

      In the same boat as you. Found this fork at 150pounds on aliexpress with a lil extra for tax and read also about the non serviceable part. Regardless of this part its still a huge upgrade from the standard xct amd xcm coils.
      How did u find the fork in the end? Still happy?

      @@ChenzosWorld I hope you do a video comparing all the upgrades on your bike . BTW , I had ordered a brand new 2020 Giant Trance 3 ( 27.5 ) but because of the Covid 19 virus , all the 2020 models ( Trance 3 , in 27.5 ) are gone so they gave me the option of upgrading to a carbon/aluminum 2019 model for an extra 300 dollars or wait for the 2021 models of the bike I had already ordered , I respectfully declined that generous offer and I will wait for the 2021 aluminum models ; bike is already paid so .... patience , in the mean time , I'll keep riding my old Ironhorse Warrior 3.1 26" , which is already 10 years old but is all built up (on a budget ) as you are doing with that pretty Diamondback Atroz . Here's something that I found that you may like . ua-cam.com/video/QSWlA5pt9rc/v-deo.html

      @ChenzosWorld  4 роки тому +2

      armando cardenas patience is definitely key. I’m sure the new bike will take you on plenty of adventures! And cheers to your budget build. It’s been fun building up this Atroz and I’ll def do a review over all the upgrades when it’s done. Thanks for the link!

      @@ChenzosWorld Brother , all mountain bikers should go through a build up , it is a labor of love , respect and connection with the sport ( kind of a zen experience ) inanimate objects have souls too . I know for a fact that you will eventually upgrade to a brand new ( at least ) entry level real mountain bike , but never forget that humble thing that put you on the trails and got you started on the sport ; that's why I keep my old Ironhorse close , even if I don't ride her anymore . Gratitude , retribution and respect .

    I have a stealth version of these for equivalent to $190-$200 iirc. Even more nice looking imo as it’s all blacked out including decals(matte finish too). There seem to be a lot of variation on this fork, QR/TA, straight/tapered, and I believe there are also variations of dampers available as well. Best part about this fork is the travel conversion from 100, 120, to 140. Good entry level XC/trail fork. Never felt sketchy when learning to bunny hop and jump on it.

    Sick! Recently got an Atroz 1 as well, super good bike for the price. Already upgraded the brakes to hydraulic, and the suspension is next. I was gonna go with the Rockshox Judy Silver, but this totally changed my mind. Have you thought about the rear shock at all? I’m leaning towards the Rockshox Monarch as of right now.

    • @ChenzosWorld
      @ChenzosWorld  4 роки тому +1

      Sweet. It’s definitely a sick bike for the price. Yea I’m actually lookin at the Monarch as well. Hopin to get it soon. Then I’ll just get some new wheels eventually to call the project complete. Stay stoked! 😎🤙
