Barnard Columbia Ancient Drama Group produced Aeschylus' Choephoroi ("Libation Bearers") on April 3-5, 2014 at the Minor Latham Playhouse at Barnard College.
There are no ancient greeks alive so there is no point in using this language on the stage. No one knows the correct pronunciation of this language and it becomes unbearable at least to the modern Greek ear to hear it as it is spoken in this production.
Wow, This was an amazing production. I never knew Greek theatre was meant to be so powerful.
How wonderful that this has subtitles so I can use it in my Mythology class!
