One of the reasons why the US lead in start-ups is competition. If you want to be first in the market, time is of the essence. The other factors are creativity and risk-taking (venture capital).
For people who want to work in France in IT in general but don't want to deal with the stress related to a big city like Paris, Grenoble (in the French Alps) and Sophia Antipolis (in the French riviera, close to Nice) are the places where you can find the best opportunities.
I totally agree, Lyon is a great option as well a bit more expensive though. I worked in Grenoble and in Sophia, Grenoble is great and offers a of opportunities compared to its size. Regarding Sophia, it’s full of opportunities however living there is a bit complicated, you can live either in Cannes, Antibes or Nice. Which is a bit far a way from work.
@@alyhdr Yup, with HPE in Bourgoin-Jaillieu, Lyon-Grenoble is one of the biggest IT axis in France. For Sophia Antipolis you can also live in the small town around, so it can reduce commuting time, especially if you have a car or motorcycle.
Main big tech hub* Medium sized or small sized companies often offer more carrier evolution opportunities and an easier access to get to the real meaty part of the tech business.
Usually it’s like a 9-5 job so basically 1 hour break doesn’t count as working hours. Some companies do a 2 hour break and eventually they stay up till 6, anyway it always depends on the team and how is the work arranged.
From my experience, there is maybe a little margin of error according to French stats. But it’s not a big of deal when giving an overview on what to expect. Anyway thanks for your remark!
Congrats! Very straight forward.
Informative. Hope to see more content on engineering studies in English in a seperate video.
