Light arrangement.. generally at the time of writing... hand shadow shown on paper.. not in ur case...plz say about it. earlier i was making video .. but it was lengthy process. my chanel name is baji meri maa you can also search... baji faim multiplication etc. on youtube.
Because I make video in front of window ...before in morning time ..afternoon sunlight gives shadow ..and tube light or any artificial light also gives shadow ..you can in balcony before 12 o'clock in morning. .

I am using the same but instead of using scale or ruler, I used a piece to scrap glass. Ruler is flexible and shakes the camera but glass didn't.
