Hide troops in the resource depot, garrison, posts, or somewhere random in the world map. Occupying an empty space.

So i never caught on to how to add resources to the vault in my nest. I know it can only protect so much but exactly how do I place it there

It's automatic based on what you have on hand.
On hand being the rss shown at the top of the screen. Where all your rss fly to when retrieved

When you attack a nest or get yours attacked and some of your soldiers die do you lose them forever or can you just heal them?

Depends. Some events: conquest, spore, pollen etc. Return all troops when event ends.

When pvp, not during certain events. Troops can be healed..upto the capacity of your healing pool. Then spillover into alliance pool. When those all full. Death.
