As much as love Derren Brown, this is total BS! Hypnosis is a purely voluntary process and this could only happen if the subject wants to go along with the hoax and purposefully ignores the truth of the situation. Just like any stage hypnotist the subject merely complies, but is fully aware of reality. Sorry Derren, but promising some bloke his 15 minutes of fame and employing simple editing tricks and stooges is not your best work!😢
Studies show roughly 10 percent of people are incredibly susceptible to hypnotism. While definitely isn't the same as TV, but trances, suggestion, implanting, changing and removing memories etc are quite well documented by dozens of studies.

They were reffering to hidden scanners, detecters, and trackers that can predict the system.
