The TYBW was rushed and fans want it to be much longer in the anime. Kubo has said he is adding new scenes in the anime, he cut many corners for the arc to shorten it since he was sick.
It’s a shame to hear content is already being cut, but unless the scenes are being rearranged, it’s likely a necessary sacrifice needed to add in the new stuff. At the very least, I’m positive Kubo won’t allow anything absolutely significant to be cut out entirely.

I disagree with you a lot. The worst arc in bleach pacing wise is Arrancar : the hueco mundo sneak ent arc . the last arc has the most emotional moments in bleach history .
Which is ironic since that’s probably the best arc in the whole manga, naturally speaking as that’s when Bleach became cemented or rather maintained itself into the big3.
If the second half wasn't rushed I'd easily put it as the best bleach arc, it had everything I wanted from a Bleach arc. In order of quality [no bleach arc was inherently bad in my opinion] but best to worst: Soul Society, Quincy, Arrancar, Hueco Mundo, Fake Karkura, Fullbring then the substitute soul reaper or first 12 episodes.

So, when you were talking about the early chapters of the Bleach manga feeling like they had more content per chapter than the later chapters, that's because they did. The number of panels per page in the early Bleach chapters were typically higher on average as I recall in comparison to the content of the TYBW. Kubo really embraced big, stylized spreads in his chapters towards the latter half of Bleach, roughly around the tail end of the Arrancar arc. Back in the day, a buddy of mine I talked to throughout highschool was going to college to get an art degree, and one of the things he and I talked about at one point was how little content density there was per page in Bleach. I don't remember the precise way he worded it, but it basically amounted to Bleach's manga having a flaw that got worse over time in that it relied too much on big, empty, cinematic shots. This was... I want to say in the middle of the Arrancar arc, before the Ulquiorra fight. And it only got more pronounced as time went on. I'm actually surprised that they only used 9 chapters for the first two episodes, honestly.
Oh. I definitely agree with you about the panel density stuff. However, when I was talking about early chapters, I actually just meant the early Thousand-Year Blood War chapters. They definitely have more exposition and panels than the chapters towards the middle and the end of the arc. During the fights it becomes a pretty constant parade of wordless action spreads.
Random question but do you think the recent trailer held off on showing a lot of the big animated scenes? Some of it was there but it seems like the trailer cut in between mid action and stuff like that. I assume the trailer is only a small glimpse.
Yes and no. The one fight they really had available was the 1st Episode reunion, which wasn't in the manga, and I can see them not wanting to show it so it hits harder in the ep, like, "Wow! They're really back!" But also, the beginning of the arc is just lacking in fights in general. All the "action" is usually just the Quincy one-hit killing people. You don't get the first /real/ fight of the arc in the manga till you're already into the second volume of TYBW, which is Ichigo vs Quilge, who, let's face it, isn't the prettiest face to advertise your show with.

It was much more graphic than the old show. Pretty much all of the violence from the manga was kept. The only thing that might count as some censorship is, I believe, they cut the shot of Ryunosuke getting swiped by the Hollow. They just jumpcut to him bloody and rolling across the roof. Also, strangely, I'd say that the scene with Quilge stabbing Arrancar felt much more violent here than in the manga.
Thank you for the video and sharing your experience. I was actually wondering while reading the manga why are there only 4 hollows who showed up when someone broke a bait during that time. And I'm glad they are adding a scene to what happened to Halibel, they only showed her chained up in the manga, a snippet is already welcome And the anime community really made people think that liking Bleach is a bad thing lol. It has flaws, but its not like other anime doesn't have one. And bleach pros outweigh pretty much its cons.

Curious on a few things 1. does Sasakibe get any type of battle or retaliation against the Quincy that killed him and if not do you think that will be added later 2. what is the color of Ichigo’s Bankai Getsuga Tenshou, the new purple or the same from the original anime? and 3. also when you mention the length of the arc and it being 4 cours, do you see it being split cours such as 12-13 episodes and then taking a break for a few months to return with the same length over the course of 2 years or stick with how you mentioned in the video of it being 20+ episodes then taking a break?

I'm pretty sure it was purple like in the trailer, but I can't remember clearly. 3. I really want it to be 4 back-to-back cours with no breaks, but I can see them maybe taking a break around episode 26.

So a 26 episode show that runs for 6 months is a 2 cour show. But also, a show that runs for 13 episodes for 3 months, and then takes 3 months off and comes back with another 13 episodes for 3 months (total timespan: 9 months), is also a 2 cour show.
So Chad gets bodied even in a extended fight? They really can't give him some proper treatment, completely useless character. Also i think it wasn't the worst arc, it could be good if Kubo give everything a proper build up, and stop forcing popular characters, give visards some good treatment, Royal Palace power up was stupidly non creative, and kill off Byakuya for good, making Rukia and Renji fight As nodt, and keep a battle between Mask, Rose and Kensei as it was.
The new style is like the Bleach version of Wano OP stylechange. Also in the manga it was also a swarm of hollows. That's basically how Uryu enters the scene when Ichigo got surrounded by hollows (its in the flashback at chapter 2 when Ichigo tells Ryunosuke what happened after he passed out). THEORY: The quincies overtaking hueco mundo probably caused multiple hollows to go into the world of living instead

Orihime, Chad, Uryu. They were the heart of the show to me, and I was always sad they got pushed aside for the 13 Court Guard Squads.

I don't think they were. I think it was around 45 minutes for the 2, which would be the standard 23 minute episodes all anime sits at nowadays.

Yep yep. They used it during the extended fight the main quartet has with the hollows on the roof.
