People forget Tune looked good last preseason too, I remember doing a stat break down and he was statistically the best rookie QB in the preseason in nearly ever meaningful category. Despite that, the team behind the scenes thought so poorly of him they gave up a decent depth pick (5th rounder) to trade for a replacement back up QB at the last minute. The staff was vindicated when Tune's NFL debut was a complete embarassment. All of which is to say, I think Tune is likely solid against vanilla defenses, but struggles against nfl level defensive schemes. If so, that would explain why Ridder is being considered the front runner despite looking like dogwater. He's not good, but he's equally not good in the regularly season, while tune is just unusably bad in the regular season. Hope he "figures it out", cause he does look like his upside is higher then Ridder's, and if he can achieve it he can have a nice longer back up career, but the point is we shouldn't put to much stock in his preseason performances.
It's not just the stats. He does look more in control. Last season his accuracy outside the numbers was god awful. He looked more comfortable than last season. I think ridder is QB3 rn but he still is an option on the roster. Tune certainly deserves looks as QB2.
Tune's a baller! It's been a while since I've seen a Cardinals QB sit in the pocket and fire fastballs over the middle. Again and again. He reminds me of Kurt Warner.
@@NinoVerse22 Murray is qb1. No doubt. But even he doesn’t sit in the pocket and throw over the middle consistently. He’s got to take big drop backs and move around to create throwing angles. The type of player Tune CAN be hasn’t been in Arizona since Warner. That’s a good thing to have in a backup role.
Robinson and Hall are Ballers so excited for these 2. O Line horrible as always hope the starters can look better week 1 in Orchard field Buffalo. We Traded Rondalle for Ridder???? He looks HORRID
Rondale Moore isn't able to play this season off of injury so it might still work for us if Ridder performs in these next few games. I mean Tune didn't look great his first game so give Ridder another shot on the field.

Unless I missed it we got thru the game with no major injuries . That's the most important part . Cards will go as far as the defense takes them this year . Offense is gonna cook !
I would be happy to have him but his price may be a little too rich for us. We're also hurting for some pass rush assistance since we just lost our top prospect.
Why the hell did they say he was going to play if all got was one snap. Wasn’t even on the sidelines after that, I was looking for him all game. Should have put him in with Tune who played about 100x better than he looked last year and 10x better than Ridder
The nfl world are sleeping on the cardinals I feel if they win week 1 vs bills(who are suppose to be way better than us) then this team will get some buzz, our receiving cord is better then the bills receiving core in my opinion at this point and if our defense plays with the physicality as they were last half of the season last year then we have a shot at making some noise when week 1 ends 👍🏽
I wouldnt put much blame on Ridder. He was playing against the Saints starting defense with the backup offense. If anything its a little embarrassing that Bum Chase Young played till the half
I was not surprised how bad Ritter looked. He hasn't looked good in practice. Don't get that pick up. Tune looked looked really good. But why only play Marvin Harrison for 3 plays ?i know he's a star, but he's a fuking rookie. Let him play a little bit get used to the real NFL, jeez... it was a kinda frustrating game... .
I'll never understand preseason analysis....It rarely goes over to regular season.....Tune and Ridder battle ? Neither will fill in and WOW us fans.....they're just band aids....Problem is Kyler's history. He'll get hurt at some point and who steps in will rely on the running game.....
one sack the entire game that's what happens when you ignore the pass rush ojulari goes down and monti refuses to sign a free agent pass rusher no pass rush not wins the offense might be able to win games on their own but not many our defense will be tough against the run but qbs will be able to throw for 300 to 400 yards every game.
@@thatguytony8945 i realize that it's only preseason and we didn't play hardly any starters mhj only played three snaps but the cardinals have ignored the pass rush for a long time monti worked tirelessly to get people who can stop the run and he did he got a lot of guys who can but only drafted one real pass rusher in robinson unless you want to count the 7th round scrub xavier thomas but that guy was horrible in college if you only record 5 sacks in 6 years you probably shouldn't be drafted. he should've paid as much attention to the pass rush as he did the run stuffers so now with ojulari done for the season what does he do to improve the pass rush sits on his ass and does nothing. just figures he'll yet the opposing qbs throw for 400 yards every game. yeah really good gm. he is no better then that idiot keim.

YOUR BIGGEST TAKEAWAYS FOR GAME 1 OF PRESEASON ⬇⬇
Desmond Ridder is awful, don’t be doom and gloom it’s preseason, MHJ only played one drive so don’t worry, and the defense looks better than expected
The Saints got a steal with Spencer Rattler in the fifth round.
Darius is a beast.
There's a lot of Talent on the back end of our roster.n
We learnt that Darren Hall is THAT guy!
Watching him go off and Tune heat up towards the end was awesome!
i liked starling thompson too
Our offensive line was god awful just getting pushed around.
Dump Ridder
