Definitely make a great show, would include home repairs, cooking, problem solving and comedy thrown in……Dad wearing his red nose as MR. FIXER UPPER! It would be great……..Nurse Alexa could pop in with her nurses satchel for any bruises or cuts during dad’s repairs. Really it would be a great comedy show,….😀❤️🌴

He did say he knows he can do this himself but that he enjoys the time with his dad, and he will remember learning from him. At that point your comment became irrelevant as he literally just explained why that’s not what happened. Just eating together and going to parks is nice, but hanging a lamp together in your new home is far more fun. It’s his dad’s preference to do it and have Kyle watch. Kyle asks a lot what he can do to help.
I use to do alot of home repairs with my dad. It was pretty cool, since his only son came later in life...lol. Today, I can do alot of the DYI stuff because of my father. Great memories.

You know something, let father and son have their bonding time. It’s a great way to spend the day and the time. It’s called family togetherness. I did it all the time with my beloved father (may he rest in peace). If I didn’t have those special moments with him to reflect on I would have had some serious regrets. I think people need to stop with the judgements. Btw, lamp looks awesome!
Kyle, I’m just shocked to know you don’t know how to hang curtains. I hung my curtains about a year ago with the help and guidance of a female friend. I am female as well. It’s not that complicated. You’ve got to learn this stuff. Im not trying to be mean, I’m just surprised at how you don’t know the basics. Instead of your dad doing the curtains, Why don’t you do the curtains with your dad giving you guidance? That’s how you’re going to learn. Have a wonderful day ❤

Because neither of them are good at interior design. It will cost less than buying the wrong things.

Just out of curiosity, why is it that when Kyle speaks of his family he always talks about Alexa, but never really includes the brother? It’s not like we haven’t seen the brother or know about him. It’s just a bit strange that when it comes to mom, dad and Alexa the brother is never added. Anyone knows why?
He has another sister (besides Alexis) that never get's mentioned as well.

It’s so funny because my husband and I rely on my mom and dad to hang curtains and all the things we needed to redo in our home. I will say we watched and learned which didn’t seem hard and I wouldn’t say we are lazy just not our area of what we excel in. Put me in the kitchen I can cook or bake some crazy stuff. Don’t put me in front of a computer I don’t a lot about that lol 😂 we are blessed to have amazing parents! ❤❤
America's Rockin Roller Coast Cedar Point!
For trips, totally recommend Cape Cod and the islands! It's stunning in the summer, and a great way to beat the FL heat. Lots of different little towns, some great for a totally chill trip, others great if you're looking for a bit more of a party vibe (looking at you Oak Bluffs!). If you're looking for something totally unique and romantic, the Cottages at the Boast Basin are so cool, little cottages over the water in Nantucket Harbor, and if you get a dog, they're dog friendly!
UA-cam has how to videos on everything from fixing things to putting things together. We use it for all types of project how to videos.
You should go to the Grand Teton Nation Park in Jackson, WY. It is beautiful and there is great hiking and not so hot!!! You can also go to Yellowstone.

Nice replacement for the chandelier. Makes it feel cozier. 👍🏻 I would have wanted it a tad lower but that’s just my preference. Can’t wait to see it all finished with the chairs and drapes.

You own a house now...grow up and learn to do your own home updates without depending upon your father. Have you ever heard of UA-cam? They have tons of DIY videos you can watch to learn.
That light fixture wouldn’t have been my first choice but it doesn’t look bad. I think the plant underneath makes it look like it’s not centered. Maybe moving the plant slightly will give the illusion it’s centered. Also I’d love to see what an interior designer has to say about how to use your space. My friend bought a “chandler” the dining lamp you have but already ready with chain and dining lights. It’s already up and cute but that white wire just hanging is weird. Definitely get an interior decorator just for basic ideas even if just for downstairs. You both will have final decision but at least you can work together. I know lots of men older than you that don’t do anything they don’t know and don’t want to mess up making holes. Nothing wrong with it. Don’t feel bad. Even professionals mess up. You both are doing great and creating a lovely home don’t stress.
