- In this tutorial I show you how to unlock the door on a Samsung SmartThings oven.
It's pretty simple once you know how to do it, but like all things Samsung, they don't make it too easy to figure out.
I also go over the ways your oven door can be locked, and why it can be locked in the first place!

I still can't get the bottom door open, it is locked & I've tried everything. How do I get the latches unlocked just on the bottom duo door on a Samsung electric range?
I’m not familiar with the dual door models, so I am unable to offer any advice.

Mine is locked!! One door oven and everything is locked and cannot set the current change in time nor the temperature to bake potatoes, etc. How can I unlock it?
Try a hard reset by unplugging the oven for a few minutes, then plugging it back in.
I have a Frigidaire electric stove that I don't know how to use. I don't know how to turn on the oven because there's no dial, just a bunch of buttons on the panel that you have to press but I don't know which ones to press to start the oven. I tried it twice before and by luck pressed the right ones. This time I didn't know which ones to press because I forgot which ones I pressed before and I ended up locking the oven door. Then none of the buttons worked. It would unlock and relock at random when I pressed various buttons but then I got an F90 message and it would start beeping incessantly. Then it changed to an F96 message and now nothing works. I tried unplugging the stove several times but nothing removes the Door Locked message. It just changed from flashing to always on. What do I do to Unlock the stupid door?? All this aggravating trouble _for hours_ just because I wanted to bake a 10-minute pizza.

I am not an oven technician, but will try to help.
A Google search of your symptoms gave me this:
F90 code usually occurs when self-cleaning has been initiated, or is ending. The doors are locked for safety.
This can happen when buttons are randomly pushed, and based on what you shared, that seems to be the case.
F96 indicates either an issue with your cooling fan, or the oven door was somehow opened during a cleaning cycle.
@@DIYTutorialGuy: We just moved into this apartment half a year ago and there is no instruction manual. I had to guess how to use it. I unplugged it for a few hours while I napped cuz I was feeling so depressed and miserable about this. That seemed to remove the F96 message (although it _was_ replaced by an F91 message a few times), and the display, thankfully, came back on from being totally blank and now shows the time (and the clock can be Set and the Timer can come on). It also shows "Loc" when the door is closed even though it's not locked (you can pull it open), and "dr-O" when you open it. (It also locks and unlocks itself at random.) One good thing is, the permanently-on Door Locked light is now merely flashing, so the main thing is to turn it off entirely. I keep pressing the Door Lock button-if pressing it locked it, then maybe pressing it again UNlocks it. But it doesn't. Nothing helps. And as long as the Door Lock light is on, the oven won't get hot, so I can't bake a pizza. Now what?
@floogelhornzzz4770 that sounds like a huge pain to be trying to deal with, and I’m bummed you can’t get that pizza baked.
I’m assuming you have a landlord? This may be a good time to call them and make them fix it with their time and money.

@@DIYTutorialGuy: Do you suppose it will stay that way for a year? Surely, the Door Locked light won't stay that way for months and months. It must go back to normal eventually. It can't just stay flashing green Door Locked for a year.
@floogelhornzzz4770 I actually think there is an electrical issue. You said you unplugged it and this still occurred after plugging it in and did not resolve itself.
My advice is to call your landlord, or a repair technician, to take a look.

I think if you reversed the unlock steps, you could place the oven in Lock mode and clean the panel.
