Hey Mat, I'm curious of your opinion. I've been playing football for awhile and I've gone through tons of cleats over the last 10 years or so. I've generally stuck with Nike. I have a pair of the Nike Vapor Carbon Fly 2's and I've owned pairs going back to the original Nike Speed TD and many other Nike releases in between them. By far the best cleats I've ever worn were the original Nike Vapor TD made from 2005-2007, before they changed the design to the Nike Vapor Jet TD. I'd argue that to this day the '05 Nike Vapor TD is easily the lightest production cleat Nike has ever made. To me it felt equivalent of running in track spikes on a mondo track surface, particularly because of the weight and superior design of the molded plate (which were more like soccer cleats). I'm just curious if you ever tried these cleats personally? It's been awhile since they were made so a lot of younger kids now wouldn't have ever worn them. I'd be curious to know if you ever wore them and if your opinion is as highly-regarded for them as mine. They definitely weren't the most durable cleats, but to me they had superior traction and were the lightest I can ever remember wearing (I still have my old pair). I think after 2007, Nike tried to make a more durable cleat, but sacrificed in terms of weight and the Vapor Jet TDs, just felt much more bulky. Any way let me know what you think. I Know Football I think the closest thing on the market now is the Nike Mercurial Vapors for soccer, which I think is what inspired the whole Vapor line for football. But the blades along with the weight (I think these were 6 ounces), IMO made them superior in terms of power transference for sprinting and cutting. Their one fault was definitely durability and protection. I've definitely have had my feet stepped on in those and with the material being only a couple millimeters thick, didn't protect at all. Anyway, if you ever come across them it'd be sick to see a review. Might be impossible now though. Keep doing what you're doing, thanks for the great videos.
I wanted to ask about the Nike highest priced mid (or 3/4) that multiple players on NFL teams like the Seahawks wear. Do you know if they are the Vapor Talon Elite 3/4 or a limited 3/4 version Vapor Carbon Elite. If you need a specific player, it's the mid cleat Russell Wilson wore last season. And my guess is that he will wear a 3/4 again next season. Will that be a 2014 Vapor Caron Elite (agility) in a 3/4 maybe? Is that on your list coming from Nike for review?
It looks to me that Russell Wilson wore Superbads most of the season. I did see a pic where I think he was wearing the Alpha Speed 3/4 late in the playoffs however those shoes are not out yet but will come out April 1. Any cleat with the name Vapor in it is for speed players (perhaps thats why Kaepernick wears vapors). Many quarterbacks I see wearing Superbads but they are not the most expensive 3/4ths. They are a well cushioned cleat with good lateral stability. More of an all around cleat. I would recommend them for anyone except recovers and dbs.

Doubling up did help however It was still a little loose in the heel. When I half size down it was a perfect fit for me with complete heel lock. I wouldn't be able to wear and ankle brace though.

They need to make a mid or high version if lineman or tight ends decide for a speed cleat but ovrl this cleat is dope
