This what I learned from this video is that all the fans that have been hating on Rico and Deuce owes them an apology because I don’t think anyone would be able to run behind this line 🤷🏾♂️
The oline is what is killing the runs and the ones that make some throws to be rushed, I would definitely start asking the oline coach many questions. On the other side the DC should be question too.
Add to that our D Line performance it’s likely they’ve never been challenged to step up.

If it looks like this for a game or two more he needs to worry about his job. Other teams do way more with less. Solari track record wasnt all that good to begin with.

Dallas doesn't have a running back problem. They have an offensive line problem, and it's been there for several years.

We don't have real coaches, we have has beens. Offense and Defense are in the same position, bit its a moot point because Jerry owns the team.
That's not on stale Mike McCarthys play book! Every defensive coordinator knows what he's about to do.
No creativity, it feels like Jason Garrett’s philosophy has been handed down to McCarthy.
Mike McCarthy play book is trash af hitches slants and dump offs. When Dak was in 2 min offense against ravens in 4th quarter Dak was the one calling all the 2 min offense. I'll rather have Dak call all the plays and McCarthy just swipes the pencil with check mark
The Oline doesn't seem to be getting any push whatsoever. Looking at this they look very bad. I was expecting a bit more them. Maybe they need more reps but they may need to switch things up and I'm really confused at what they formation was supposed to be on the first play and what they we expecting those WRs to do. They're no space for anyone to do anything behind this line.
Why not talk scheme? McCarthy"s approach to the run game is absolutely terrible and predictable.
I think the Cowboys could use Voch as an offensive line coach.

We need to air this thing out. Get some wider splits, and pass to setup the run. Too many 7 to 8 man boxes with the formations, folks aren't getting off double teams.
One thing I want @voch to note is D Line Coach Zgonna should be showing this tape to the D Tackles and say this is how you play the position.
There are a few groups I have confidence in improving through out the season. And that’s the O-Line, 2 rookies, who will get better an old man, and Terrence and Tyler are still on their “preseason”… the linebackers will get better, just a young group outside of EK, and the DB’s will get better as they start to understand the scheme more…
I think Rico and Deuce have potential to grow with the line if they stay healthy, our D-Tackle room though… we need coach z and greg ellis to suit up lol

Reach and climb is trash. Pin and pull is so much better. Our Run Blocking scheme is pretty trash and then our Oline also isnt performing in the run game how they should on the blocks that should be easy.
This hasn’t been a Running Back issue, it’s been a scheme and blocking execution issue, which the execution is somewhat understandable with 2 rookies.
Bring Footsdaking on and go through the O-line for all of Duece Vaughn's carries

I think it would be interesting to see if the blocking is as bad as it looks on the Broadcast for Duece, and Footsdaking has already given up on Duece. You don't have to agree.

We have issues with a bad O-Line and poor Eun Scheme too! The Runningbacks aren't super, but nobody would look good behind this line.

I hope when they watch film that they circle this stuff and ask each individual what they were supposed to do and ask why they didn't do what they were supposed to do unless the on-line coach doesn't see the faults!

Thanks Voch. I've been saying since preseasin etc...that the O Line has to block and open holes for these backs. Not just theses, but any back you have back there will struggle if there are no holes. Just sayin
The O-line's combo block initial positioning isn't bad. It's just like they don't have the mentality to kick the s#!% out of the DT while it's a double team. If the DT is going backwards it makes the LB's job much harder & the DT can't just be allowed to play square at the LOS & make the play on the RB when one of the O-linemen leave the combo. 2 on 1 blocks should mean @$$ kicking time!! & yes, every once in awhile you may not get to the LB, but at least the D-line is being driven backwards..
Right and after they push those dt’s around a bit the dt’s will get tired of getting his a$$ beat and will start to fold like a cheap tent someone’s got to be the man instead our o-line is a bunch of pu$$ies

Rookies didn’t seem to be the problem here… the plan of the o-line blocking is flawed horribly and not clean when they try. Yall remember when we got paul alexander from bengals a few years ago? This is reminiscent of that so far. Alot needs to get better and fast

Actually, I have hope for the o-line. Two rookies playing new positions…. growing pains are expected. The passing game scheme scares me. The entire running back room is past scaring me. The d-line scares nobody. The o-line will come together.

How our DTs get washed on combos, but our combos get no movement? Is it a combo of effort and pride?
Tyler Guyton needs to put in a tremendous amount of work in the weight room during the off season.
The common thread I see here is combo blocks coming off too early or too late. You’ve got two rookies and Ty Smith is still young. There is lots of room for improvement and if they get those 2nd level releases in sync, this mid running back room could make some real hay.
I learned that whoever is responsible for constructing our run scheme needs to have this responsibility removed from their to do list immediately

Those boys played some ball with coach callahan. He is ultra conservative as a coordinator but an excellent o-line coach. I havent seen the cowboys run a good hb screen in quite a while.
What's sad about the run game is we had the numbers! There is no way we shouldn't be getting at least 8 yards per carry!
That first play looks like a hot mess right off the jump, the 2nd play Steele looks like he stole money from the church. Also, on the 2nd play Spann-Ford is listed as 6'7 270lbs and Kyle Hamilton is 6'4 220lbs but the way he punked him it looked like their weight was reversed. That Zach Martin conversation looks like it's here already, or maybe it's because he didn't get enough live reps during the preseason. They keep saying they don't want anyone hurt during preseason games, but Tyron Smith, Trevon Diggs, Tyler Smith, and Sam Williams were all injured at practice. Get these guys some real reps during preseason games because you just can't control injuries. Our offensive line looks like damn clowns out there
We keep getting out schemed every freaking week. When you have slow starts it’s either 2 things or both. Low energy or you’re getting out schemed. I wanna say we got old coaches but Harbaugh has been around a while too. 😅
Want to fix the wrong fix for Dakota Prescott. Put Jalen Brooks at CD Lamd spot, move Lamb to slot. Switch Cook and Turbin out on wr 3
Running inside the tackles = very little chance of breakaways or great yards. See Barry Sanders or Adrian Peterson's highlight tapes... take note of how the breakaways were initiated. It's just ridiculous to think you're going to have an effective ground game running up the gut 85% of the time like McCarthy. Blocking these 2 different plays.. inside vs outside? When a DT has to move towards a sideline to get to a RB.. he loses his base.. once the DT's leg crosses over you can blow him back with a good shot... You're not having a power battle like you do with straight ahead blocking... when the DT and Off Linemen both have shoulder width/legs.. good bases.. you're lucky to get past a stalemate.

Just for full disclosure I work 2 jobs and haven't been able to watch as closely the past couple of seasons. How is Guyton and Beebe looking so far?
The reason they aren’t getting the push on the line is because you have the center not blocking at the defensive tackles him to turn him and give the offensive tackle the advantage to get more push then he should release to give the back a larger hole to run through! SMH! The o line needs a fundamental refresher!
We’re not suggesting Zeke is the same player but does receive grace for running behind this oline?
I’m actually a bit concerned now. How are our Center and LG double technique so poor? It’s just placement, they are so athletic and strong. Short week too, but they got to lock in, they have the ability to put 350lbs on the LBs shoes

See my issue is the lack of foresight by the coaching staff. We knew damn well we have two rookie starters on the OL in the two most important positions on the OL! Why are we not utilizing the screen pass ? Hardly any quick passes with horizontal routes? Literally staples of the west coast offense! Help your rookies by getting rid of the ball quickly!

Alright, so let's be fair to Pusha, we need to remember he is in between TWO rookies who are playing out of their natural positions and seems to be a help guy for them many times. It's not Ty that is fallen off, he's having to help the newer/weaker rookies. So can't blame that on Ty, he is still that dude.

On the play we pulled too towards the end there was so much easier of a blocking execution.. we literally had numbers and miss matches just to go hat on hat and double team and climb in that one and we literally blocked no one that needed to be and created a junk pile where it didn’t need to be… like wtf is this running scheme..? This is absolute garbage. This is not the running backs at all this run scheme.

What I see is a line that’s athletic not power. This line should be pulling a lot more and attacking the edge, Delay hand offs and screens from different positions would be beneficial. If we can use the line appropriately the middle stuff will open up. Cowboys need to run on 3rd down more often. We have 2 above average athletic tackles let’s get them running outside more and stop combo blocking all the time! Your fast not powerful lol 😂😂😂

I have ALWAYS thought 70 is a C. He has never impressed me as a RG, more get in the way as opposed to violent people mover. I also HATE zone blocking scheme. What happened to having nasty 3 inside who just moved DTs violently out the hole? Hate seeing 78 on the ground...OMG! I think 56 should be at RG...I want his power on full display.

Coop is better in RUN game which would help 78....same on left side 73 would help 60 better in run game....but we cant cause backs and those clips.....look at them again.....I hate how we are using 73 all this zone trash block...tell 73 top NEUTRALIZE 98 PERIOD...56/70 combo DT/Mike...78 maul 40 M to next level open this up. I hate to say this I hope 70 pulls a hammy and TJ plays and we get beefier and nastier to just see what it could look like.

In my opinion the main problem in our run game is the obviousness of it all for 1 and our linemen are all coming off the ball to high and we should be making teams DT’s have to run the play down. Meaning we should be getting to the second level of the defense faster and more consistently . We should be blocking the players on defense that can run the play down instead of trying to plow over everyone. Our RB’s against DT’s have to chase the play from sidelines to sideline, I will take the RB’s all day.
Either way Rico needs to produce with whatever opportunities he gets and be able to keep Dak clean.
Right now we have a bad O-line to be fair they need more time to build team chemistry, bad d-line specifically Defensive tackles and bad line backers. Out of the linebackers Overshown has the most potential and needs to be on the field at all time. What the cowboys need to do on defense is bring Micah Parsons back to either outside or MLB with Overshown and have him blitz or cover. Mike zimmer has no defensive schemes or stunts to confuse the O-line. I’m not 100% sure but it also looks like we hardly blitz at all.
