- Huge fave - compiled on (amongst others) "Psychedelic Experience" (this copy used).
If you collect this kind of stuff on 45 - drop me a line as I quite often have similar records or spares for trade etc... If you played in the band or know a band member - please let me know. If you have the record at home and it's nothing you need to keep - please let me know. Thanks!
All soundfiles are taken from the record depicted.
Enjoy!
This is such a great track. Did a gig last October with these guys...Lawrence and John Perez. are still kicking it.
George Keller
Where did you guys jam at ?
A most splendid mindwarper
Produced by Larry Tamblyn of Standells fame. Yes, this is the same Premiers who did Farmer John
Thought it was a Farmer John/Standells Relative!
monster fuzz from east LA
This song could easily figure on a Seeds LP and would we be surprised? Only the vocal by Sky could tell the difference. The other side of this fantastic 45 is so great !!
What brought me here is a now deleted video of “American Bandstand”. This song was on the Rate a Record segment. The kids enjoyed dancing to it and the judges gave it a 92. Anyway, GREAT song!!!
The riff is similar to Them’s “I Can Only Give You Everything.” The Premiers do their own version, and it’s AWESOME! Totally shimmy-able!
dig that ferocious fuzz sound
Dont get much better than this killer!
The Premiers the same guys who brought you "Farmer John"
Great pop rock gem from the 60s!
Just Excellent!
But wasn't it Jimi Hendrix who renewed the electric guitar, with distorted sounds, being a genius?
However. here, the guitarist, even before Hendrix used distortions and feedback, gives lessons in acidic and caustic sound effects with his electric guitar solos.
The piece came out in 1966, but was evidently recorded months earlie (as witnessed in other UA-cam and Internet sites).
@stratocat9999 Thanks for the comment! It's the same band. Keep on BBQ-ing!
Superb
🤩🎶LOVE IT 💜🤩
What a tune
the twenty five oclock wall of fur and 'el ess dee' yeah a worthy collecters item this thanks for posting
Love that guitar
❤❤❤❤
Ahh, the Premiere's-one of I-10 corridors' best kept secrets in the 60's. Regionally they were successful, but not so much nationally. Still, they were impressive, while in existence.
Very cool. Is this the same group that recorded Farmer John? Same name at any rate. It's the kind of stuff i grew up with and still love to pull out on a Saturday afternoon, accompanied with beer and the BBQ, and strange looks from the neighbors. Cheers!
snotty organ -yeah
