I've heard you say you dnt hunt public land in Michigan but if you wanted to try a spot and happen to be in the area, Barry County State Game Area is a nice place to try. I've seen monster bucks out there and it's a decent amount of land to hunt. Just an idea.

Last Bow season i shot a buck watched it drop 50 yards away and 20 minutes later another buck walked right up to it sniffed it and slowly moved on. I could have shot it to but didn't..

Because running and gunning you need the binos tight and concealed. But tree stand hunting it does'nt matter.
