Rolling Stoned is an incredible stoner jam. One of the best.
I would like to add that this is another king gizzard infinitely looping album, If you play on repeat when the album ends and the first song plays again and starts with someone saying "you wanna go again?"
@@gardevoirdude7493 ok but they left it in the song. They could've cut it out. It was obviously left in for a reason.
Sketches had always been one of my least favorite Gizz records but just yesterday I gave it another listen and really grew to appreciate how good of an album it actually is
It so nice and soothing perfect against the pandemia anxiety hahaha
it is the BEST record in my opinion; all the progressive elements and the touch of mild high clubs style, as well as the themes and really small details make it a flawless piece of art
i always thought that the character singing in this album had a smile on their face the entire time. dancing, singing laughing and living. but i also imagined them crying the entire time.

I was in year 11 and waited for the pre order drop and snagged a white one. Listened as soon as it came out, was blown away and instantly fell in love. Still one of my favs
sketches is S tier gizz - it's my favourite album of theirs to this day. thanks for this
Yeah, a lot of people don't like this album. But I think its because of its style. They don't like this kind of style of jazz. They always call it elevator music and boring. But I like this jazz style and don't find it boring, and I think its a great album, and if It was playing in an elevator that I was in, then it sure would make me feel just groovy with everything. I think fans just want KGLW to be on a Nonagon Infinity loop and be just forever repeating themselves. But the GizzWizz guys never do that, which is good 🦎♾
I know this is an old comment but do you know the name of this kind of jazz (or is it just called elevator music)? I really really started to love this album and started to appreciate jazz as a whole. Would love to find more music like this album
This album came out the week I was camping with my gf.
I remember taking acid and listening this for first time along with the beautiful sunset. What a experience.
Miles Davis would be proud for bands like this still exist in our century.
SOBW is such a good album, you really did it justice with this video.
Really looking forward to the day you'll do IIYMF, keep up the good work.
The philosophical implications of I’m in your mind fuzz are “WOOOOoOoOoo!!!!!” “Yeah!”
Dude literally you made the video I was looking for, like many the first time I heard this album it was nothing the third the fourth I love this album great video you should do an overview of all the discography and how they are connected congrats dude keep it going
I love the part at the end of Sketches of Brunswick East III where you can here one of them say "shall we go again".
Holy shit, the meaning on this album, just make me love it even more, learn and see, the four colour on all things, thanks for such amazing work, I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart
Man fuck the haters Sketches is my favorite gizz album. I get why people don’t like it but I more feel sorry for them than angry. I’m so glad I get to exist at the same time as this piece of music
Amazing video. Hope to see more in the future. Going to listen to this album alot more now.
More of these please!!!
4:22 i never realized that. it's especially interesting since this was foreshadowing the next album polygondwanaland in which han tyumi believes he is a god. really smart shit
My favorite Gizz record and one of my all time favorites period. Great video.
This is amazing! Posted this onto the KG Facebook fan page hope to see more analysis of their albums in the future!
Great video! SOBE has been one of my favorite albums of theirs for a while but I've never looked this deep into it. Thanks for the great video!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
🙌🏼MY FAVORITE RECORD 🙌🏼
Thank you so much for this!
This has been high in my ranks since i first heard it.
Great analysis of one of my fav Gizz records! thanks for uploading, really good work
You deserve more subscribers mate, this video is really good shit and we need more of this kind of videos on the platform.
Nice analysis video man keep up the good work
Amazing work !!
Sobe is one beautifully crafted piece of art and your interpretation is so well described !
Thanks a lot for this !
What a great analysis! This album helped me find my own musical and emotional personality, heard it first at age 16, loved it and still hold it dearly in my heart. It inspired me to make my own music no matter how crazy, "home made" or "elevator-jazzlike" people could percieve it.
Learning it on the drums also helped me understand and appreciate their art and music itself 🕷 ☁️
Absolutely one of my favourites of theirs!
Man did people not like this album? It's one of my favorite KGLW albums of all time.
Great video!
It would be really interesting to hear your interpretation on all of the other albums, also. This is the first one I found, but I'm surely gonna watch the FfF one and subscribe. Keep the good work, man!
Awesome video man! Makes me happy to see someone explain this album correctly \m/
very interesting interpretations. ive always loved this album, great to hear the thoughts behind it
these are awesome, thank you for your videos.
ill be watching them all
stoked to see this channel grow man
Always loved sketches!
I listen to this album every day so it’s definitely my favorite
Great analysis
One of my favourite albums of all time
I love this album. I'm more of a MHC fan than KG but I think this album mixes the best parts of their styles. I was aware of the story-like progression of the album (musically, tonally) but I hadn't paid close attention to the lyrics, where that progression is also there! Very explicitly haha. Thanks for this video!
holy shit this editing is godlike why do you only have 263 subs
you know I cant say I agree with a lot of what you say, but this is a really good video and a cool persective on the album. Keep up the good work.
my personal fav of king gizz
Do more about king gizzard, I love the video ❤️
Beautiful analysis, my favorite gizz album just got better.
your interpretation is very similar to how i heard this album. a journey to shell and how it flows into rolling stoned sounded to me like the world ending all the evil being swallowed up and a return to a garden of eden type thing in rolling stoned
Sketches was different for me too. I had to listen to it multiple times to understand it's true greatness. It's a really mellow album, but the lyrics are far from being mellow. Hope to see a third review in the future.

Great video, change the title to: the genius of Sketches of Brunswick East. It will give you more traffic. A broader audience.
You changed my opinion on Sketches 😅
7:59 YCBYS does not swing
tezeta is a cover the original is by Mulatu astatke
great song
I feel like I’m the only ones be who really liked this album
Analyze MOTU!
Really well done but you’re saying Brunswick wrong. Its not bruneswick.
It's pronounced Brunswick as in Bun and Honey and Under. Trust me
that death grips fan is not able to comprehend real music
Han-Tyumi the real homie
2:57 wtf is this sentence?
As a Melbournian, listening to you butcher the pronunciation of Brunswick hurts me.

I feel like this album is massively under appreciated by king gizz fans. I came across it because of mild high club and the majority of his fans seem to loved it.
