The deceased, A.Lorhii Mao, was discovered on August 9th following a three-day submersion incident.

On August 7, an unfortunate incident occurred in the vicinity of United College, resulting in the drowning of an individual named A. Lorhii Mao in the Chakpi River. Subsequently, an extensive search operation was undertaken by the local communities of Monsang Pantha, Mantri Pantha, Lambung, Japhou, Chandel Royal Riders, and numerous volunteers, spanning a duration of three days. On the third day, specifically August 9, the individual's body was discovered near the DIET Training Institution in Hnatham, approximately 3-4 kilometers from the initial drowning location. A solemn funeral service was held, attended by local pastors, church leaders, women's societies, village authorities, and student unions, prior to the transportation of the deceased to their birthplace in Mao.
