Considering Rami is really the main character of the movie, people like that usually talk the entire time and let the other actors talk a little bit. So I’m actually really surprised by how he let everyone talk, he seems like a real cool and chill guy.
He's actually kind of shy. I've seen a lot of Intreviews with him and Christian Slater for Mr. Robot and even thou Rami is the main character there too and Slater talks THE WHOLE TIME
My opinion - I think it comes down to which actor is asked most of the questions? Yes, a main player can dominate, but when most questions are asked of the main actor, he/she is stuck and the others get bored, naturally. Malek, thank goodness, is a great story teller and lots of fun. The whole cast really is an awesome ensemble. Bo Rha touches on so many universal themes. It is a feel good biopic film that conquers adversity and perseveres with love. It really deserves an Oscar.
anyone else notice how nervous the interviewer seems? if you look at his paper you can see it’s shaking a lot lol. poor guy i would have been nervous as hell as well though
And also with this interview, Freddie is still a part of Rami. The way he moves, the way he pouts/he forms is mouth. I wonder how long it will take for him to slowly let that go/when it fades (if it ever will).
I actually think he’s always done that pout. I thought this same thing but when I went back and watched him in The Pacific, and The War at Home. Even in Night at the Museum, he does that little pout. I think it’s adorable and I love it so I’m not trying to put you down haha. I’m sorry if it came off that way.
IMHO, I think the difference in how they speak is noticable. Rami speaks MUCH slower than Freddie and takes the time to enunciate every word very carefully. However, I love listening to Freddie speak also. I think I've listened to every interview Freddie has ever done.
Lenalee Walker oh it’ll be on the dvd for sure. I think it’s possibly put on digital in the us now but I’m in the uk so I’ve gotta wait until March. 10:15 - 11:41 , I need the full insult session. Please be on the DVD. While we are talking about the DVD. I really want the scene where they meet Deacon, crazy little thing called love written in a tub, '39 performance. Like anything that was filmed for this movie I want to see it. I don't care if I have to pay more. The entire Live Aid set!! Bloopers!! Interviews!! Every deleted scene there is!! B roll footage!! Actors transformation to their characters!!

Rami stepped into Freddie's big shoes and pranced around in them!!! I just love how this man showed so much class and grace playing Freddie. 'Talent within'!
I agree so much on what Gwilym said at the end about Radio Gaga, I grew up listening to Queen and that song wasn't one of my favourites but now after watching the movie I literally can't stop listening to it, it's so amazing
they often approached a song twice. once for the studio and again for live. the knew how to bring out the best in the songs in whichever medium it was being presented in (because theyre geniuses). this often meant heavier live arrangements and gaga is certainly one of those songs that benefit from that treatment
@@juliemiller9760 - It was Roger Taylor's son. Roger wrote the song. I was born in 1949 (same year as Roger) and Radio Ga Ga made sense to me. Every night the radio glow was my night light. I lived in Canada and would search for the Beeb, Radio Caroline and Radio Luxembourg to get all the latest British music. A lot of people didn't have TV's in the 50's and even in the 60's the shows were pretty crappy. There are a lot of hidden meanings in that song...the War of the Worlds broadcast (about Martians invading) was mentioned and that scared the liver out of people in the US who thought it was real and a few people even committed suicide. That was the power of radio. In the scene in the Queen video where the family was wearing gas masks during WW2, radio was the main source of their information. It's also about technology and how things have changed as illustrated by the modernistic parts of the video. I love the line "Radio, someone still loves you".

Love the fact that they didn't have to answer the same tired sort of questions. I'm sure Freddie is looking down quite happy with what a wonderful job everyone did on the film.
Queen Queen - Joe says more in a single interview that Deacie has spoken in his entire life! Love John Deacon. Wish he had been featured more in the movie but he never wanted the spotlight in real life either so I guess it makes sense. Great bassist and superb songwriter. Wrote some of their best songs. Freddie said he loved to sing John's compositions. Shy, humble John joined almost as a hobby and never wanted or expected to be a rock star. Sad that he retired but that was his wish and must be respected.
Wow where to begin?! Fantastic interview. Just love these guys. They all are genuinely humble and have such an amazing understanding of the impact of this movie. Rami is so laid back and he lets the others guys do most of the speaking and I think it’s really how Freddie’s personality was - he was an insane, superhuman performer but off stage he was quite shy and reserved. Joe and Gwylim embodied their characters perfectly as well. I love the backstories especially about their favorite song. I love how Rami asks the interviewer why he likes I Want to Break Free. He’s genuinely interested in what other people think about the music. Also his story about how Under Pressure came about - I’ve never heard that story before and the history is really incredible. Gwilym said it perfectly in describing the live music. I usually don’t like recordings from live shows and prefer the released tracks but Queen’s live shows were just beyond anything I’ve ever heard. I listen to those more than anything and am so thankful for all of the video footage out there.
a great audition, an incredible movie, and I am so pleased that Mike Myers was not only in the movie, but so loved by all cast, another Canadian icon our Mike ----- and before I forget to mention this, did any of you notice Adam Lambert in the movie ? He's driving the big MACK truck; he and Freddie are giving each other the eye as Freddie's on the phone talking to Mary and Adam stops to use the rest room. Take a look at the expressions when they see each other - priceless !!! that Adam can act !
oh yes, the Glamberts knew Adam was probably in the movie as he posted an IG pic some months back of him in 'make-up'. It was all i could do to stifle a squeal when I saw him in the movie!! Such a great cameo for him
That's awesome you've watched it 4 times already!😊 It would be perfect though if they make the band sing "Don't stop me now" at the end of the movie, i really love that song. I feel a little sad everytime i watched that part. I still love the movie though.❤️😍

So true what Rami says about Brian May`s We will rock you! These are great actors. I've been a fan of Joe since Jurassic Park, so glad to see him in this movie.
There is a UA-cam documentary on the making of the song Bohemian Rhapsody with Brian May with the original 24 track tape and the Track Sheet with Freddie's doodles. It is worth watching.
Mike Myers ( a darling son of Canada) said the Producer called him to pitch the role to him and said " do you want to see the Script and let us know if you're interested" and Mike said " No, not really..I'm IN ! Just tell me where to show up and what to wear". Of course, Mike ( as Wayne in Wayne's World) reintroduced Bohemian Rhapsody to a younger generation, and he had that Producer replace the original song by Guns and Roses with BR, which he grew up on in Scarborough, Ontario. ( also - Mike's parents are ex-pat Brits, so he can do 10 different British accents cuz his ear is so attuned to the nuances of those areas). The cast of this movie just ooze talent. Gwilym is SO like Brian May - even Brian's wife said it was freakish, and Rami is almost other-worldly in the same way Freddie was, and it's true - Joe is a dead ringer for Deacie. Sure hope Rami gets the Oscar.
I'm so glad to see this and get some insight into the making of Bohemian Rhapsody!!! These 3 are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! LOVE THE MOVIE AND THE ACTORS!!!❤️🎤🌹❤️🎸🌹❤️🎸🌹❤️🥁🌹
I can’t believe you cut Rami off from talking about his audition! They were right there in the moment really getting into talking about their auditions and you cut off Rami 🙈 Painful! I’d have loved to hear what he was going to say he seems like he was going to give way more information on his process than ever (I hope I’ve rubbed this in enough 🤣)
It would have been interesting to do "warts and all" but I can understand why that didn't happen. Not only would that go too much into Freddie's private life -- which is not something he was about -- but I also think it would have taken away from the movie in some way. The movie wasn't perfect but it was a damn good ride either way
I like this interview. I heard a lot of new things except for Joe's explanation as to why he loves "Somebody to Love" Trivia: When I first listened to Under Pressure, I posted on Instagram stories a sc of the song in Spotify with the caption "I feel like Freddie Mercury was struggling at this song vocally because I think he didn't want to overpower Bowie." and hearing Rami gave the history of the writing of that song where he mentioned "Freddie is so competitive ...saying "whatever he (Bowie) does, I'll do it better" HAHAHAHA left me really laughing and shouting "I knew it!"
Considering Rami is really the main character of the movie, people like that usually talk the entire time and let the other actors talk a little bit. So I’m actually really surprised by how he let everyone talk, he seems like a real cool and chill guy.

Cristina. OMG HE DOES!!!!!! I love that
It's crazy

Yeah :D shame Joe didn't add his Deacy accent, cause he sounds super cute as him :D
Oh my fucking-
Rami's clothes here: I think Freddie would approve.
Jemppu I love the jacket. Would gladly wear it
His clothes in interviews show me what I'm missing, being in the South. Sharp, beautifully made, unique, quietly fabulous.
Those boots tho
They're not extra enough tho
Jemppu Not really Freddie style 😬

21:26 the "mom, where were you in 1983?" story lmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaao
Rami Malek whispering. Best thing I've heard this week, possibly this month

When I first listened to Under Pressure, I posted on Instagram stories a sc of the song in Spotify with the caption "I feel like Freddie Mercury was struggling at this song vocally because I think he didn't want to overpower Bowie." and hearing Rami gave the history of the writing of that song where he mentioned "Freddie is so competitive ...saying "whatever he (Bowie) does, I'll do it better" HAHAHAHA left me really laughing and shouting "I knew it!"
You were all great I love ed the movie
