Name your favorite Billy Idol song? Me? ALL OF THEM!
Eyes Without A Face was pretty awesome. It's pretty deep for a pop song. He did a song called Dancing With Myself with a band called Generation X, I liked that one too.
Eyes without a face, white wedding, rebel yell
To Be A Lover.
rebel yell & craddle of love
Aw, sheesh. It changes all the time. I like Cradle of Love at the moment. But who knows?
Hey, Mr. Idol became an American citizen. I am so proud. America said we need more weird, and he answered the call!
(Yeah, I know he's lived here for a while.)
Till this day Billy Idol is the coolest Rebell ever walked the earth.
One of the best choices of the 80s
Also let me say I love the pure joy in your dancing reactions
I love Billy Idol, he was a member of the "Punk Scene" in London and I saw him live at Hammersmith Odeon .....and I am 69 years old.....a member of the Baby Boomers :)
Ha! Welcome! My biggest regret is that I never saw him in concert : (
The punk band Idol was in was called, ironically, Generation X.
With this song it makes me want to conquer the world .... Excellent song .. Greetings from Peru
He's still going strong!!!
Killer band,Steve Stephens Vampire suit! & Killer solo! Billy, was Jim Morrison,& Elvis in one Package!!!
That drummer is so tight. Killer groove.
It's so appropriate for you to react to his videos since Billy was in the band Generation X
I discovered Billy Idol when he started with a band Called Generation X (Gen X) the song was Dancing with myself
I share your joy and excitement. How can I not!
Seems to me that you are still in love with your idol , nice to see.
I can see the teenager pouring out of her eyes as she watches him. I think one good carefree night out without any worries or responsibilities is well overdue. Bar hopping and than an after party with someone who can make her scream "MORE! MORE! MORE!" like back in the 80's.
Yes! I love her authentic reactions.
I love your reaction
Hi Ms. Cat... fellow Gen Xer here. Found your channel recently and subscribed instantly. Great reaction and sharing of (some) of our great music! As much as I like Billy... the "King"??? umm well I think Elvis, Chuck Berry and Michael Jackson might have something to say about that.. but THE IDOL of Rock? I can buy that!! Long live Billy Idol! Rock on Sister!!
Billy idol was a great representation of rock and metal music that would be following him shortly in the future .. I subbed in , your doing great and memorable music that bro BG s back so many memories .. another great hit or two we all know from our era.. come on feel the noise by quiet riot , and I love rock and roll by Joan Jett and the black hearts .. please? 👍
When we get more spiritually advanced we can access every moment that ever existed via the Akashic records. We can even experience Mozart and Beethoven conducting the orchestras playing their own music. Life is amazing.
he is going out on tour in the uk now
One of my old skool punk bands 👍🔥
By the way he sings with that snare on his face you would think that Elvis Presley was Billy Idol's Idol.
Wow! Look at U..I LOVE ur enthusiasm. Ur SO VIBRANT!!⚘
I think his punk band was called gen x if im not mistaken
I bet you'd like to meet him😂 😊 You look like you needed a cigarette after this video😂
cute and gorgeous!
Yes mam he was gangster no doubt
This video could really do with a little more energy. The melody was so soothing, I started to doze off. What’s weird is when I woke up, I started to develop this Elvis sneer and started to pump my fist at my wife. My hair was kinda spiky too. Just sayin’.
Hahahah!!!
Still is🤘🤘🤘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Also another great 80's song; Cutting Crew, I just Died In Your Arms Tonight. Also research it's meaning and why Nick Van Eede wrote it.
Terrific suggestion. I will look into it. Now I'm super curious. Thanks for watching
I love you
Hi from the uk check out the band altered images with the fantastic clare grogan who all us young guys had a crush on thay had 40 uk hit singles and 3 top 30 albums
was jealous of some of my friends, because they had MTV and Much Music, my mom didn't want it
he had many hits in the 80's, this, White Wedding, Eyes without a Face, Dancing with Myself
I remember at P.N.E/ Playland, Vancouver. Pepsi had a tent set up with a bunch of monitors playing stuff like this, Billy Idol, Duran Duran, Prince, Madonna
I dont believe anything youre saying, youre too young to remember this song :]
Thank you! Ha! 50 a few months ago :)
@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 Youre crazy, you look 30 something. Very pretty young woman - 50 something? Get oout of here, im being prankd :P
@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 Also ok, if youre 50, i take my first comment not believing you back ;] Made a foolish mistake, i blame my eyeballs.
You´re truly an 80´s child....like me.
Greetings from Germany
From Germany eh, Was only listening to Sandra-In the Heat of the Night the other day lol
He was the bad boy we all wanted. ❤️❤️😂😂
Still is a king , he's brilliant, 🇬🇧💞
Oh my god he was utterly gorgeous ! And he still looks and sounds amazing.
His voice is unique and always gives me goosebumps.
Us fellow Brits are proud of you, Billy!!
#Idolforever ♥️🇬🇧
The dude on guitar is amazing.
Steve Stevens.
"The dude"is Sir Steve Stevens.
Billy is still rocking live audiences, check out his more recent live version of this classic song. Trust me, he still got it!!!!
What set you free, and brought you to me babe ,that's such a classic, powerful line ..
It's so CUTE seeing you SWOON over Billy!
I saw Billy Idol, Live in Concert on September 5, 2010, in Rockford, Illinois. He was just as energetic, and very down to earth, thanking his band members first, before getting the credit.
Billy rules! The 80’s Elvis! I miss the 80’s!
I graduated in 85 it ruled the music kicked ass and it was fun unlike the 90s depressing and every one of them dead.
I was 9 when this sing came out. Remember dancing around the lounge when it was on Top of The Pops (British music show). Loved him all through my childhood, teens and still do today. In fact, saw him live for first time here in UK couple of days back and yes, he still rocks. Sexy as hell and his voice is still awesome 🤘😎❤️
Your happiness and dancing is infectious! It's nice to see! Keep rocking!
Thank you and Welcome!!!
@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 this is an awesome idea! I was born in 75 so I remember all of this and it was some of the best music ever in my humble opinion! Do you remember the song The Promise? That would be a cool one to do! And maybe Midnight Oil " Beds are Burning"?
We genuinely had the best music. And we were free from the toxic social media pressures. I was born in 71. I remember The Promise! I'll get the songs on the list!
@@catsarai-genxrewind5271 the world isn't even close to what we had growing up. So much more freedom back then. I remember I used to tape songs off of the radio and I still have some of those! I'm so glad you are doing this I pray all of the people who haven't heard these get to hear them now!
Oh, by the way, Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy would be awesome!
Billy Idol's version of LA Woman is amazing! Best version of that song I've heard! I would love to see You react to that one!
I will look for it and put it on the list. Great recommendation!
He did all the singing in the Doors movie.
He loves performing it shows
I'm new to your channel. Did you ever get a chance to interview Mr. Idol? I've also heard that he is a very nice guy and an interesting interview? My favorites, Eyes Without A Face and Rock the Cradle. This was a fun review!
Such a amazing performer 🇬🇧✌️💞
I saw him live in Vegas 2 years ago ! He killed it ! Such a great artist
The original heavy metal punk
Some of my favorites Dancing with myself, Eyes Without a face, Sweet sixteen, Mony Mony, Rebel Yell, Prodigal Blues, Blue highway, Hot in the city, To be a lover, Bitter taste, Nothing to fear, Rebel like you, Cage. Just to name a few! I love Billy Idol, I was lucky enough to see him live last year and he's even more amazing! I look forward to seeing you again! I love his voice, his attitude, even today he is still very sexy, he WAS NOT the king, HE IS THE KING! 🥰 I loved your reaction, it looks like you really enjoy it
You should know by your name he started in a punk bad called Generation X.
I..guess..EVERYONE..BUT ..ME..GETS A HEART..on ur reaction? 😔
You get ❤❤❤❤❤❤
He IS this good in concert. I saw him in Houston just over 30 years ago and his concert rocked exactly like this. It was awesome!
I saw him last year on Jimmy Kimmel singing his latest song "Bitter Taste" and before it had even finished, I had downloaded it. He sounds so good even forty years on, and Steve Stephens is still playing guitar with him. He also does a great version of Rebel Yell with Miley Cyrus, and it is delicious.
Proudly born in 73 and our upbringing was F'KING AMAZING!!!!!
Back when MTV was Rockin !
Loving your energy, subscribed
This woman loves billy idol!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Went to his concert around 1987. Fantastic.
I was lucky enough to see him in concert in the 80s and trust me he was awesome!!!!
Great review, Many eighties songs deserve the same treatment you gave this one !
I'm so glad thT you enjoy what some of us lived through. I'm also glad to lived, what you have lived through. It's November, and I have still not come down from an August 26th 2022 concert high when I was on the floor seeing My Chemical Romance in Raleigh. One day young people will look back on Gen Z and say, "I wish I could have been their with your music." Music has the power to bind us all.
oh my billy idol yummy
Cat loves a bad boy
if you like
hevy and metal m.m. you might also liked billyhard punked rock late 70'es 80'es and some 90'es - he is a rebel yell(ing)
Sei molto Bella
I saw Billy last Wednesday in Baltimore. He still sounds great.
Love your channel, Cat! New subscriber and now this Gen X'er is binge-watching :-) All the best from New Zealand! (Eyes Without a Face is my Idol pick)
Thank you and Welcome!!!
He’s done now.
I still play this a few times a year; I listen to a lot. It's a crank it up!
One does not simply listen to rebel yell without singing along!!
Holds good memories for me as this reminds me of my first festival and listening to this on the way 😊
Billy still tours... at least he did a few years back. I saw him in Chicago and he still rocks... and Steve Stevens is still on guitar. I made sure of that before I purchased the tickets.
Your reaction was fantastic! Jus' the way a man wants a woman to react to him... Thanx. Oh yea, He can Rock.
Hes very talented but he benefited from a great guitarist and the arrival of MTV like so many of his era.
Dance
Steve Stevens is " Bad Ass "
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘 Yeah I'm an all of them too!!! Definitely have a spot for Eyes Without a Face!!!! 😉❤✌
This Gen X Dude loves the Nostalgia!!! 😁

Did you know that he shared a flat with Adam Ant and Steve Strange for a while when they all were still in their twenties?
Sweetheart, if you met him for an interview you would be begging for more ,more, more. Lol
I love to see a gen x er reacting to Billy Idol I was a teenager then loved Billy Idol. And he can still really sing all these years later. Keep posting 80s music love remembering that time!!
Welcome! We really did have it good back then!
I could never get my hair as perfect as his.
I heard on a documentary that Billy got the name for that song by drinking in a bar in London next to Keith Richards.. Billy asked him what he was drinking and he said it's called a rebel yell and so it was
It's a brand of bourbon that was at the party.

I never met Billy Idol but i claim two-degrees of separation to him.
He first emerged late 70s (in UK) with his punk band Generation X.
This is the anthem for all of us GenXers! Don’t even @ me on that.
I meet my idol, it was all I wanted it to be. Billy was sadly not present.
I'm in the presence of hotness. Thank-You.
A lot of boomers liked him too! He will be 69 soon!
At first I thought Phil Lynott was on the guitar and then Cindy Lauper on keyboards! Would've made quite a band!
Hahahaha!! That would've been so cool!
Very underexposed billy idol
Turned 50 in early Aug. Just found you, your doing great. alot of energy & possitive vibes. i'll subcribe now :) good ol' days
