Facebook is the first easy to use platform, so it's no surprise it has many users.. however data about meta users is overstated because dormant accounts aren't considered, most of Facebook early users don't use it now same thing for Instagram
Thread already started with monopoly.
You must have an Instagram account to be able to create a Thread account, but when you want to delete a Thread account, you must delete the Instagram account too.
This is Thread's dirty way.

instagram audience and twitter audience are different types of people. moving your account from instragram to threads with all the subscribers was a very bad decision by meta. typical instagram user is not interested in a public conversation about ongoing news. it is not the target group of a tweeter clone app. the only benefit is getting real users quickly but they will leave as quick as they came.
I'd go with Elon Musk, anytime, any day.

It comes down to whom do people trust more, Musk is obviously much more loved and revered for the impact he brought with seismic changes in banking, space and auto industries, Zuck on the other hand is considered a lier, cheater who made his money by selling private information, GDPR and such laws killed his business, the reason Metaverse didn't gain traction was because people didn't believe in Zuck's vision, obviously the product was shit and Zuck had no credibility left for users to trust, if not for this lack of credibility Zuck had the goods to do better than what apple and Microsoft did with Vision pro and Holo Lens.

If the govt wants to solve privacy issues, please consider storing all the data related to india and indians in india location based servers, also make the companies to create apis to access indian data only from india only while we can access global data something similar to this can generate revenue for indians and foreign companies.

Threads feed looks no different than FB to me. And I ain't trusting Zuckerberg.
Plus the connectivity of IG to threads is not gonna be helpful for those who already hate IG. Threads is purely a product to entertain already existing IG users. Its like a new feature. Nothing more. People won't be interested in it individually but the advertisement or IG influencing might help threads to grow big. There are people who wanted to try threads and are struck on it now because their accounts are connected to IG. If they want to delete it they need to delete ig account too. So in a way threads is holding up it's one time users for initial record breaking numbers. It may change in the future tho.
