university is hard! a lot of people don't talk about it that much. for most people, they find their first and second year the most difficult as they adjust to the speed and studying style of university. that's not to say that everyone finds the upper years easier but you're definitely more used to it!

I graduated last year with a business degree the best thing to do is take a break when you feel overwhelmed go out with friends go get food watch a movie anything that makes you happy and then get back to it but most importantly trust your self just because you think you’re doing bad isn’t always what it seems! Hi Tracy! I've been watching your videos for a while now (pre-Covid, we were both juniors in high school) and I haven't commented until now. Everyone is saying encouraging words about the Uni struggle and I just thought I'd add my two cents in. This is also my first semester in Uni and I've found that it is indeed a huge adjustment from high school and the struggle is very real. It's ok and completely normal to struggle, everyone does whether they say it or look like it or not. It might seem like everyone is chilling and has their stuff together but to some degree no one really does. And not gonna lie, it's normal to cry from the stress in Uni too. I've cried so much over homework and before unit exams. Study groups really help with the stress and, if you find a good one, it keeps you accountable and on pace to get your work done comfortably. If your Uni offers any resources, tutoring, or TA office hours I would totally go to them as they help a lot. When you have a lot to do, don't look at it all at once. That makes it so much more overwhelming and you feel like you're drowning. Instead, break it up over a few days and do a bit of each class everyday. If you can, talk to someone who took the class before you or to the TAs to ask for useful study tips for that particular class. You might think you're not doing well, but I can assure you that you are. I love you and keep up the amazing work!

Don’t worry, i think it’s super common adjusting study habits from high school to college. Unsolicited advice coming… I suggest doing a checklist of certain topics within a class to study a day and then go back a week later to make sure you still remember and understand. Also lots of practice questions! I studied biology so I’m not sure if it will apply to you major but don’t worry, you got this! It’s just a learning curve that you have to overcome. 💗
