I have an SC. I love the ex more though bc of the sunroof and the AWD. But since I have a 4WD Toyota sequoia, I don’t need a second rig. I sold my xB to get the SC. SC is my daily driver for work. Currently have leak right now and in need of transmission mount. I’m glad I settled with the SC. What sold me the most with elements is bc of the seats and the tailgate. I do like the floor console better
Thanks for the review. I have an 04EX Automatic, Nighthawk Black but switched out front and rear bumper with an 06 which I am sure you know is a dark gray as opposed to the 04’s silver ones. Have a great weekend
I would love to see the Honda Element return, especially if they finally decide to make the SC with a 4WD option w/o the moonroof (making the 4WDs have a moonroof standard on a Honda Element was a negative for me, but optional would be fine). A glass moonroof (especially w/o the covers) would make the inside hotter, a really bad thing in my area where 100+ degree temps are quite common in the summer. Also it is more prone to damage during severe hailstorms. There are rumors that Honda is developing a new Element-like SUV, I just hope it is legitimate. Not sure if they will keep the rear "reversed" doors, as many claim it can be a safety risk in a vehicle collision since the doors will possibly lodge themselves together making it nearly impossible to open. However, this was a design cue that made the Element unique to other compact crossovers/SUVs so I think it would be best to keep them.
I have 07 sc in Galaxy gray (darker). It has full black leather interior, not patented cloth, 5 spd,90k miles and a very well done rear sunroof, always thought it was factory. Just bought a new factory sc front bumper and headlights last year, in order to have spares
"box boy out" lmfao nice overview, didn't know the SC element was a thing, elements in general are so rare in europe, i took a picture once of one in my hometown but it's hard to find them for sale, very few units. now i wanna bring one of those here LOL
was interested in getting on to make a camper. Seems like Ex prob best. But do recommend it in 2024, since parts are hard to find and discontinued. Not sure if its worth sinking money into one
Great video! I just bought a 08 SC that needs all 4 struts replaced. Can you share any info on where to get the KYB struts you mentioned? Here in CA dealership wants over 2k for just the fronts Also, Are the KYB struts a complete assembly or will I need to reuse my stock SC coil springs and get new oem top hats and bearings? New to me SC has 185k miles on it. I want to make it my daily driver. Squeaking down the road. Can you share more about the coilers you are using I would like to know your opinion on coilers vs. stock SC set up. Thanks
I want a SC front end so bad every time I run into one at the yard it’s all messed up 😢 I just need the front bumper and headlights and I can swap the whole front end
I have a 2008 SC I'm looking for Quick struts cannot find them they have them for ex and LX do you know what the differences are between those and the ones that specific for the SC only thing I found was the spring rate but they said they're identical would my SC sit any different higher or lower
The spring rate of the coil springs it thicker to promote better handling. When I sought the struts at my Honda dealership, they made mention of that difference. That difference is identified in the VIN. Honda used to sell a strut assembly (struts, spring, boot and mounts) Now, each part is sold separately. If you are interested in replacing the struts, don't use aftermarket brands like Monroe. Their quality is very poor. We use KYB struts and shocks in our shop and they are a Honda OE parts supplier to struts and shocks.

@@reCon_1977 In my online searches, I have discovered that KYB does not have these or manufacture these struts for the Element. I recommend you NOT purchase the aftermarket brands like Monroe because they do not have long term reliability. The SC model has unique struts because the spring rate is different from the other Element model (thicker for better handling). I am purchasing my struts through my local Honda dealership since I plan on replacing the entire unit (strut, spring, mount, spring seats, bumper and bearing) Honda used to sell the complete assembly but stopped due to demand. Now they sell the struts and associated parts separately. You'll need to find someone to assemble them for you. Shop online through a large variety of Honda online parts (Honda dealerships that sell directly to you). You'll end up paying for the shipping/handling to your location. That is your best bet for a high quality struts. I will be completing my front suspension FIRST and then replacing the rear struts a few months thereafter. Do not forget to replace the stabilizer bar bushings and links when you replace your struts. Trust me, it will be worth spending the extra money for a high quality strut. I work at an import shop and we continually see aftermarket struts lasting 1-2 years before they are replaced costing the customer twice as much had they installed a high quality struts like KYB, Tokico, or Bilstein.
Dude would you happen to have an extra nut or bolt for the middle of the oem spoiler?yeah that’s the only hardware I forgot that lil nut under the spoiler

Looking for an Element. I’m in NC. I’d like 07-11 model. AWD. Looking for less than 150k miles if possible. My 2005 has 271k and I’m wanting a newer model. Love my toaster.
Definitely, in my opinion, should have left the original Grill on the SC. A shame covering up the Honda h on the grill. Also what are those little ridges or lip molding on the SC on the bottom of the doors?
Been working on Hondas for many years and on my 4th Element now, never had an SC but do want one, great video, learned a lot!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Cool video. Liked the deer appearance at 6:14 too.
Thank you!
I bought a used 2007 LX 4wd manual over a SC similarly priced and love it. Only thing I miss is the sound system. Good review s.
You did good for yourself with the manual 4WD! Thanks for watching!

I saw a SC yesterday and I thought it was a modified paint matched one, that's cool now I know what it is
Love this video!

Now I know the differences thank you. I have a 03 Element love it
Awesome!
This is a great video! I had both! The interior of the SC is really nice! But the EX just has better features!
Thank you!

Great comparison. I definitely want the moonroof. What part of PA are you in, and how far away are you from NYC?

Hades and I loved the video bro he’s more of a SC pup and you know me I love my EX
Thank you Herb and Hades🙌🏼
Dope video bro 🤩

No element has actual null4 wheel drive. It's an all-wheel drive system. There's a difference between four wheel drive in all wheel drive

I have both models and if my EX had a five speed they would be equal! May I ask if the bumper spoilers are OEM?
They are aftermarket. Some guy made a short production of them. Very few were made.
Front hubs are different. Had a 07 EX and a 08 SC
Damn i guess they didnt put the sunroof in the ex model after 2008. I have an 11 ex with no sunroof!!
That’s correct! Saving money on Honda’s end I guess 😥😓

I think the SC struts are wider and obviously make the car shorter. A lot of SC owners just buy BC coilovers. They’re like $1000
I always thought that the Element SC was like a 2nd Gen Element 😮
Nope, just a style of trim. The element only ever had 1 generation but the body style changed a little over the years.
SC struts & control arms are different

Williamsport
