Those are beautiful. In the beginning they look difficult to make, but after your explanation it looks a lt easier.

Thanks! They really aren't bad at all... you could make a whole slew of them in a day probably.

Nice stands. Do you do anything to keep the water from swelling or rotting the wood in the long term?

Thanks! Luckily real succulents don't require much water/moisture, but if you are going to use real plant I would be sure to seal the inside with a waterproof/marine finish or epoxy.

Nice machining project. Not to many of your projects focus on woodWORKING. Hand tools are great and should be a focus.

Phil is the Charles Barkley of woodworking... he is not a role model. ;)

      - Charles Barkley?? Is he immune to cancer caused by carcinogenic wood dust?

Grant Hamilton - I can’t speak to Charles Barkley’s immunity level to carcinogens... all I know is Charles Barkley is NOT a role model.
I don’t disagree with you though. Woodworking is a dangerous hobby. You absolutely should take every measure of safety you deem necessary to protect your eyes, ears, lungs, flesh, etc.

Ok and being an Aussie I have no idea who Charles Barkley is. A fun chat though, thanks mate

@@granthamilton2892 - Well that is disappointing that my American pop culture reference was totally lost on you... for future reference, Charles Barkley was a professional basketball player during the 1980s and 1990s with a "bad boy" reputation. He is somewhat famous for responding to questions about how his behavior is a bad example for kids by saying, "I am not a role model!" ... It was later turned in to an ad campaign for Nike seen here: ua-cam.com/video/4gqk4WPnrpM/v-deo.html
