Part of his appeal is his delivery. He starts a lot of his sentences with "Dude," which makes you feel like he's talking to you, not putting on an act for an audience. Its very subtle and smart.
Yeah he talks onstage exactly how he just talks on his solo podcast and podcasts with his friends, except maybe a little louder for the context. Realized that's a reason I like his comedy so much, other comedians seem too robotic now
That is so insanely true! I have never noticed that he starts a lot of his sentences as if he’s just conversation with you. He and Chapelle are the two best comedians in the game and they’re both very much like that but Bill Burr more so.
I personally think Burr is the best. But Chapelle’s first 3 specials are insanely funny. And super polished and pro. Also, CK’s first couple specials, as well.
3 first? Killing em softly, for what its worth and? Chappelle's two first are some of the funniest standup specials made together with Raw and Delirious. But if you go by currently released material (past 5 years) Bill Burr blows Chappelle out of the water as Dave has become more of a preacher/storyteller than comedian.
@@SCHTRAM Yeah, I was mistaken. I thought he did three before his hiatus. Those two are genius. Everything since then falls into the Carlin style but not as clever or good with words. I agree. I think Burr in the last ten years has amassed more great material than any comedian ever. Murphy had only two specials. Dave had two good ones. Etc... Going to see Burr on Sunday night actually. Third time.
Yea I prefer Burr over Chappelle. Chappelle tells funny stories, he doesn't really tell "jokes". Though Louis CK's my favorite. Louis and Bill have always been full-time stand-up comics. Their success never came from a tv-show. They grinded comedy clubs for several decades and it shows. They have real jokes, instead of leaning on a mic stand and discussing politics or telling stories. Chapelle's good for sure, one of the best today, but over-hyped imo.
@@AlexB-xp4jy Chappelle didn’t grind as a full time comedian? LOL are you serious? He literally paved the way for CK and Burr. You may not like him as much but don’t act like he’s not a legend. Also Burr and CK lean on politics just as much as Chappelle. I think your bias is showing.
Burr and Chappelle are my 2 favorites right now. They zero in on the absurd things people do and say.. and it's hilarious. I scream out loud .I love that you 3 crack up to these classic AMERICAN humorists. More please ‼️
I'mma finally sign up for you guys' Patreon because I wanna show some support, Darryl Strawberry story better be on there boys haha. Great reactions as always.
Yeah, Mike always looks like there's a Christmas goose in the middle of the table, and he hasn't eaten in two days. LOL Also, he reminds me a little of Cornholio. We love you, guys.
Great reaction, yall. Dave Chappelle and Burr are the GOATS right now, in my opinion. In fact, they are friends in real life and even worked together on the Chappelle Show. Check out Dave if you haven't already. Like Killin Them Softly is all on YT.
I don't know about your traffic problems ...but I'm in Houston Texas and mine are worse. Comics like Burr and Stanhope that keep things 100% real and down to earth help me maintain my sanity...I think, I don't know that if I were crazy I'd know it or admit it...anyway, great vid, do more Stand Up reactions, we're digging it.
The United States has begun implementing roundabouts over the last several years and apparently, they forgot to email instructions for use to the majority of the population. I feel the traffic pain gentlemen.
@officeblokesreact Heres a few good American Stand Up Comedians you should check out: Louis CK Dave Chappelle Tom Segura Joe Rogan Anthony Jeselnik Ari Shaffir
You guys will enjoy Dave Attell, he is a legend among professional comedians. Mitch headberg was one of the best one liner comedian and of course Louis CK is arguably the best comedian out there today.
Bill Burr and George Carlin are on different levels of comedy. George Carlin was a philosopher. He used comedy to share a message in a time when the message was not always welcome. He made you think, even if you were offended. I rewatch George Carlin more than any other comedian. Bill Burr makes poignant statements between jokes, but nowhere near to the same level. More of a gut check reaction than enough to make you think.
Younger GC was way more tamer and comedy-tilted than the one we know from hist latest performances. Wait some years till BB become older and I think he'll be closer to GC.
Guys I started watching you from comedy reactions and they are amazing!!!!!! But idk if the beastie boys are too big but and intergalactic reaction would be amazing!!!! KEEP IT GOING GUYS LOVE EHAT YOU DO
WAIT a damn second. You’re coming, let’s just say “live,” from Cheshire? My hometown is Cheshire, CT in the states. I knew our town name was from England. Never actually knew anyone from the area
Ricky Gervais. I'm from Florida but a friend of mine in Manchester put me on to him. He's the only British comedian I can think of that could compare to some of the American comedians. Ive watched his shows like The Office, Derek and An Idiot Abroad and loved them. Gervais' standups are also good.
I doubt you'd get away with reacting to it on the channel, but I highly recommend watching Eddie Murphy's stand up special Delirious with the three of y'all when you get a chance; dude is freakin' HYSTERICAL
I put Bill Burr up there with Dave Chappelle and Louis CK. Chris Rock used to do some really funny stuff back in the day. Oh, and of course, Jim Jefferies.
I love Bert but he is not on the same level as Tom and Bill. Bill is arguably a top 5 comedian of all time and Tom is consistently one of the funniest deadpan comedians. Bert is a good story teller and a really funny guy, but not on top of the game.
Always loved this special. That bit is so good it always makes me question my own existence. And you can't talk about Carlin without context. Offensive in his days is nothing nowadays.
Bill Burr is elite in my opinion the only comedian that gives him a run for his money is Louie ck but Bill is my favorite because of his out put and consistency.
I always get behind the lady in the minivan that has a whole soccer team in it and everyone wants something different to eat.Just go the hell inside and eat.🤯
Well... #2. George Carlin is #1! :) Speaking of traffic lights... Have you ever found yourself behind one other car at a light just screaming, "WHAT'S THE MATTER... AIN'T WE GOT A COLOR YA LIKE?!!!" :)LOL(:
You guys do have good edgy, smart, not afraid to be offensive comedians in the UK! They just aren't as successful due to the political climate there. There's a lot of more underground comedy on youtube from these folks. Comedy Unleashed is a decent channel for some of the smaller acts. Steve Hughes is brilliant if you haven't checked him out. Huge metalhead and hilarious! His career hasn't done as well recently for reasons that will become apparent if you watch his comedy.
At the junction to go right or left if it’s wide enough to have two lanes you should petition the city government to make it so. I’m sure your fans would support it.
You guys have said you should listen to more British comics, I would love to see some Kevin Bridges reactions from you. Maybe not too edgy, but extremely relatable.
Early! Nice! You guys are great! React to Jack White - Wayfaring Stranger, or Ralph Stanley - Rank Stranger? Just putting it out there! Good job in general! :)
As an American I can say that I love British comedians like Lee Mack and Jimmy Carr and Johnny Vegas on panel shows but I haven’t seen much British standup. I’d agree that I prefer American stand up but British panel shows.
"That's NOT a family photo, it's an environmental disaster and you framed it!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I lost it.

That's a very Boston thing, starting and/or finishing every sentence with "dude" or "bro"

No particular order they are #1and #2 hands down!!! Saw Bill in Dallas the other day.. crushed it
Like the blokes said. Who you like as a comedian is personal. I dislike Chapelle. I don't find him funny.
Burr also praises the late great Patrice O’Neal

Much love as always. ✌🏼
British comedian I think of Ricky Gervais. Savage, unapologetic, and brutally honest.
I would love to have a beer and a whiskey with you guys
