Just now seeing this. Born unto a musical family but I got none of my family talent. I've been around performers all my life. I can tell when someone is working hard and when someone is on cruise control. She was working and he was having fun. It's a rare talent to be great with little effort.
He sings so effortlessly, and you can notice how much he loves it, he's natural at it, its raw and refined in its own way, it's so rare to find a voice like this these days and someone who loves jazz so much im glad I found this

I mean, these types of singers nowadays are rare for sure, but they definitely exist. Panic at the disco is a recent example I can think of, some of his songs obviously have a pop feel so he stays relevant but if u look into his deeper works it’s similar in style. Singers like this exist nowadays, u just have to work harder to find them
Transparent Eclipse brendon urie (panic at the disco lead singer) is actually able to sing it all... he can do pop, he does musical, classic, metal, rock the lot and he’s mastered all... the problem is if he’s not doing pop people don’t care so much... that man is an amazing talent

As amazing as his performance was, I can honestly say I would chose to listen to you over Sinatra anytime, any day. You have an effortless, smooth style, perfect pitch and ooze charisma. He was of my parent's generation and I didn't have any real interest in the show, but I was a guest and wanted to make the best of it. It took perhaps 10 seconds to 'get it.' Sinatra had the audience in the palm of his hand. The direct eye contact, the velvet voice, the slight dance movements, all combined to captivate me, someone who didn't initially want to be there. I left the show a full-fledged fan.
Fun fact. One of the coaches started complaining that he kept singing the same type of songs over and over again. She said it was getting repetitive and we already knew he was capable of singing those songs. He should challenge himself more... Next show he (and his coach) decided to sing one of her own songs (modern world) and he completely nailed it aswell.

From the get-go Dennis was a clear winner! That two-step dance and clicking of heels of his rendition of Mr. Bojangles are simply adorable! I guess that's what got him the championship. I wasn't quite 20 when he passed. 8 years goes by quickly, but each one was spent listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy J, Luther, Stevie and Marvin. That style of music is incomparable for giving people positive feelings and almost a sense of comfort, in my humble opinion.
