dammit man, that shit looks fun. excellent video. i have to agree with josh on the looks of the cars he says it well. the profile of the nsx is beautiful, and more tasteful than the c8. the nsx rear lights and the chrome crown up front throw me off a bit but they fall inline with the overall appearance. oddly enough the front of the nsx doesnt look like a weird anime creature, the c8 looks like a pissed off wasp.
The NSX has very clean lines and a very cohesive design. The C8 is all over the place and I really struggle with it, exterior wise. IT's got a lot going on...Aventador hood line, messy messy side door lines all over, and rear that doesn't quite match the front. The NSX is far better looking and I have to tell you, mega fun to drive. If it has the reliability long term like the 1st gen NSX, that car is a winner for sure. It's pretty fast and feels much more exotic. The C8Z will probably make quick work of the NSX but, until then...NSX wins and will hold more value than the C8 base for sure.
i love the first gen nsx so much. i actually saw one in the wild a while back, probably has been 20 years since i last seen one, of course my jackass self didnt get a pic. with very little mod....wheels, they are in the neighborhood of the f40 for me as looks go. i think the c8 looks better with some of the body kits i have seen, not the biggest fan of body kit either. odd car, wonder if it will have mid gen redesign.
This was fascinating to watch, as someone who was just filming there in a C8 a few months ago! You beat my time by a 1.5 seconds! Though in my defense, that was my first-ever stint on the course, and it looked like a MUCH hotter day (105 degrees in my video). Now I want to drive the NSX next time.
Yeah, the Supra sight laps helped a bit for sure. The C8 just is a very restricted car, from the suspension tuning perspective. I've done a lot of track time in Corvettes over the years, the C8 is VERY tight and very restrictive, as GM intends. Very much looking forward to the C8Z. We gotta do a vid out there in California with some Corvettes ahead.
Just found your channel. Great stuff, really enjoyed this video! Very informative and you don’t seem biased at all. Ironically I had a deposit on a 2021 C8 allocation but it kept getting bumped due to plant closures then got cancelled for a 22. I got my deposit back and bought a 21 Supra. Man I love the Supra, and this is coming from someone who’s last three cars were a C7 Z51, GT350, and a Camaro SS1LE.
Hell yes, glad you enjoyed it. I'm a car guy through and through...I'm about fun and engagement and I never want to have to create a video with a required opinion. I wont ever take a check to say a certain thing...wont happen. If I support it, I will vouch..if not...forget.it
Like I said in the vid, I think much of the C8's characteristics are baked in, from the factory. Different alignment and swaybar tuning would unlock the car, I'd suspect. As is though, the car just doesnt dance at all...its locked in.
I did "7" laps in the C8 last year. Never seen the track before.102.16 (including pit exit), 58.16, 57.11, 57.86, 57.22, 57.89, ~56.9 (estimated pace into the last corner). My video is on my channel. My last lap was on course for something in the high 56s but they didn't let me finish the lap. If I went out again, I know I could settle it down into the low-mid 56s, I was way too erratic, and I needed him to let me focus. Really frustrating that you pay for 7 laps but your first lap includes the pit exit, and the last lap is cut short. So its 5 laps. Plus they jaw your ear off the whole time. Next time I would respectfully ask them to keep the advice to a minimum.
Surface temps and where the tire is rule the day there, plus shooting, trying to chat for the video and get my 3 laps (after pit in and out) it goes quick for sure. I wasnt getting comfortable until the NSX and boom, its all over...lol. I've run the track again in 991.2 and 992 GT3's. I personally just didnt like the feel of the C8, ot pushes too much and that immediately reduces my confidence in the car. I like cars that are very loose and oversteer...I feel the grip much better in a car that way. The NSX and the 992, even the Supra rotated much more freely than C8. They have 2 Z06's inbound early, so...looking forward to those for sure. I leave a bit on the table here because well...we have an arrangement and me bending something up wouldnt be good for the future of that arrangement...lol.
Contents guide has sections. I just go by what the algorithm and analytics return. Long vids arent for everyone, but view time is way up with longer videos. Some I keep short, some go long...its all hard work to make, create, edit, upload etc. Do all this for years and still cant win sometimes. People will watch news channels for 6hrs/day but somethin else, they hate anything long. I cant win...lol.
Hard to beat C8...parts are available, itll get repaired if needed, costs less and honestly a better car in many aspects. Exotics are overrated in ways.

Josh looking like a gta character running at 7:07
Planning on going to Vegas 2022-2023
Nice vid by the way
Does the C8 have track alignment or street alignment? It understeers a lot if street alignment.

I'd be interested in seeing you do the overlay on the NSX with my 57.11 C8 lap, or my last lap up to the point I had to pit.

that nsx is awesome looking
Have a great day brotha
Back on track I see...lol.
@@KnightDriveTV yes sir
@@liluncje deal
So many corvette haters here. We all know it is the best bang for the buck. Nissan must have bribed these producers.
But I own 3 Corvettes...lol...how can I be a hater...lol.
WOW! I bet that was fun. Next time drive the racing lambo👍🏻
Thats the plan...I gotta run that baby
As you said, the C8 doesn't handle well as I can hear the tires squealing all the way, while the NSX IS THE OPPOSITE
your videos are great but waaaay too long, no need to make them so long, 10 mins max and everyone would be happier

I want the c8 corvette but my dad wants a super car so I want to convince him to get the corvette

Damn....that c8 looks ugly next to the nsx
Nsx design is very clean and proportions are def better
