This is only my opinion). Especially he takes a lot of care in songs. Shankar + A R rehaman combo is absolutely magnificent 💥💥💥☀️👏👏🎶🎶✨✨.In each and every movie Social message is there without missing commercial elements . Eagerly waiting for his upcoming movies👍👍👍👍. Not a movie buff and neither follow movie trailers, but watched Robo 2.0 in 3D screen(on friends force), honestly loved the movie. It’s a bang - bang Hollywood type 2:30 hrs movie - Dir and editor can’t get complete story twined to the movie else it will break bang impact. I agree our people might not got that movie as we usually expect some emotional touch.

From the ranking given by you, it is evident that Shankar was at his best when had Sujatha (writer) by his side...i personally believe that is exactly what is lacking in his films, contribution of Sujatha in dialogues or screenplay or story...i think the organic screenplay you spoke about is Sujatha's contribution to Shankar's films...if only Shankar can find another writer who can complement him like his former aid...he will create the same old magic on screen...but given it has already been a decade since Sujatha's demise...i think Shankar hasn't found one yet (?)
