Yah but it’s survivorship bias. Nobody who just drifted and did nothing, or who life chewed up and spit out was living there, so you only got the success stories.
A lot of people in my opinion see others who are wealthy and successful but don’t see or don’t want to acknowledge the journey of actually getting there. The work and time that goes in, facing adversity and overcoming it, etc. Jealousy and insecurity, and people wanting it all now instead of being patient or they believe it’s not possible, or that the person must’ve had wealthy parents or something. Tearing down others who are doing well in life will not help you build yourself up and reach your goals, it only holds you farther back.
but I see most of them have something common in answers, "..I wanted to be XXX" or "I wanted to do YYY"... Even after being rich, if you can't do what you wanted to, freedom is still missing.

I love how this people share their stories, it's not a stroke of luck to be successful, you have to put your work on it, meeting the right people and discipline after all.
Well yes but there is a bias here where he's interviewing those who literally got lucky while also being hard working and disciplined. The majority of entrepreneurs are hard working and disciplined but unfortunately don't get lucky and end up failing. If you take a sample of 100 entrepreneurs, most of them will say they're hard working and disciplined, but what separates those that succeeded from those that failed is simply (and unfortunately) luck. In terms of the way the successful entrepreneurs got lucky, this usually means being at the right place at the right time and meeting the right people at the right time.
Noah this video was actually something I’ve been looking for on UA-cam for a while. It’s nice to know what these people do and their interesting stories. Keep doing more please! I liked subscribed and commented , good luck to everyone else!
I never heard you tell them your name/introduce yourself, but you were very kind, especially in this video vs earlier ones you've done in this series. People have either been more willing and honest to share, or you've found your grove to talk to people and ask them these questions in an honest way!
I’m loving this series! As an architectural designer, I love seeing the homes and hearing about peoples journeys to get to where they are now. Can’t wait for more!
This was really great. Everyone was humble, worked hard, and were willing to give advice. It jus motivates me to network more and meet new ppl no matter what field I end of working in:)
One thing I’ve learnt from you in that video is just be brave and ask simple questions that can motivate you in order to stay focus as you work towards your dream. Much appreciated bro 👍
Some successful people aren't proud about how they achieved their financial success (loan sharks, pawn shops, liquor stores, even hedge funds, etc). Others might just be skeptical of people walking up to them and asking about personal information on camera.

@@edbutzwiggle4227 Very true, years ago when i was a senior in college, our class went to convention where Kevin Spacey took time off to share his success stories. it was very inspiring moment for me
Great insights, Noah. Can this be a series? I really enjoy "off the cuff Noah" like back in the day when you and Tim / Neville gave advice to entrepreneurs Eg: The yoga lady in San Fran, Wooden toothbrush guy and many more... Don't get me wrong I love all your content and truly appreciate the time and effort you are putting in these videos to inspire us all. This type of content is opposite of those videos, back then you gave advice to help the entrepreneurs succeed, with this series you are reverse engineering what made these people successful... For me its fascinating how you see things and the questions you ask on the spot.
"Everything in moderation, including moderation" 😂 I feel you Aunty. Getting there is so hard but I'm seeing progress, as slow as it may be and as small as it may seem, I'm celebrating every win (in a financially responsible manner)
this video was incredibly insightful. it amazed me how most of them were just so open about their journey. good things like this need to be shown more. it’s so inspirational. thank you for this!
Really like this type of content Noah. It shows that anyone can build wealth doing pretty much anything. Discipline and looking for the right opportunities are the keys.
I enjoyed this. It has truly inspired me to take the time to ask some of the successful people I have come across in my life thus about how they got to where they are now financially and career wise. Keep this up Noah!
This was a fantastic eye-opener. Love the "cold-call" approach to just asking, gutsy move nowadays. Goes to show that nobody really gets rich quick, the backstories contained solid pointers. Loved the last lady's 3-point quote about paying attention, being organized and having discipline. The common thread we can see in success stories.
This is so cool Noah. I love how to the people have no idea about you and you hear patiently to their advices. I love how you admire and respect what they have to say although you have achieved more than them. Fan of your humility. Also love how you handle the rejections. Such a gentlemen. I have been trying to learn to code from the past couple of days. I don't have a good laptop to practice coding and grow further. I have a shitty second hand laptop which don't work unless plugged in. It automatically turns off after an hour or so. It's a nightmare. 1000 dollars would really mean a lot to me, so that i could get a good laptop and learn stuff. I'm a 20 y/o from India, I have really learned a lot from you and your content. I am eagerly waiting for your book too.
Thank you for sharing this. I just started my own business in Social Media Management so it’s really amazing to hear from all these people who have started their own businesses and worked so hard to get where they’re at!
The house flipping guy was down to earth! A great piece of advice from this video is adjusting to changes.Hey,in my life,I envisioned this part of my life to be one way but it's not because a place I was working at that really liked me closed, gut punch but recently I moved into a different job and seeing where it goes, also prepared to move on whichever happens, I WIN!!!
I appreciate what you’re trying to do and wholeheartedly encourage you to keep doing it. Older people love sharing their knowledge for the most part but for the last few years when I see people making huge mistakes and try to share knowledge with them, especially online the response I get is “okay boomer”. proving the old adage that you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink.
Yup! I’ve always wondered the same. It’s se like there are so many different pathways…sometimes it’s hard work, sometimes it’s pure luck…I like you idea about talking with older folks although often they were able to find success without education or the use of technology because it was such a different time. Still, I’m sure there is lots of value in hearing their stories and still many valuable lessons that can be learned from them.
Today's millionaires: - Personal finances youtuber - Crypto currency early investor - Early NFT creator - Onlyfans star - Cam-girl on twitch - E- sports athlete.... - What am I missing?
Hey Noah. Great video! I’m a very shy person and it’s encouraging to see you walking up to these successful people and ask for a quick interview. It’s eye opening how it could be so easy sometimes, but how complicated we can make our own lives. Thanks!
I’m an art dealer in Santa Fe I work with a lot of wealthy people. The idea that they’re selfish and not giving is a big misnomer. Almost all of them are super fun to be around, very positive, and hugely accessible. I loved this video.
It's interesting to see how some people talked about it so comfortably :) As someone who is trying to start my own business it was nice to hear the advice and journey of these people. Inspiring 😊
The irony is that the first guy said "follow your passion, do what you love." Then, Noah: "is software what you loved to do?". Him: "no, I wanted to be a musician" 😂 the irony. In his case, what really worked for him is to use the great opportunities he got in front of him, thanks to his husband's job. Conclusion: Enjoy your passion, but be realistic at the same time. Do not waste the opportunities you have in front of you, in order to try something that has much probabilities to don't work than to work.
I am 28 years old and I still dont know what I would love to do, The pressure to become financially stable is really killing me now, I wish I can find the job like they have found and I hope that anyone younger reading this finds their passion before reaching my age
Brother I am in exactly the same situation. I am about to turn 28 and im terrified. This pressure to hurry up, move on and be an adult is crushing and I still haven't found that thing which makes life worth it.
I stumbled over your comments. Im 31 and was until recently thinking the very same - I have to become stable, get laid, get kids, get a house and earn money for my pension. But - I whiped any imaginary timeline from my mind. What I mean is - our parents had everything earlier then we will, if we will ever. Times changed. We cant compare our generations, because prices skyrocked so much, you simply cant reach some selfmade goals because they are hidden behind a paywall. So instead of getting haunted by these thoughts, poisoning your mind, you should try to let go and rather try to enjoy your life as it is. Never let go from your dreams, but dont tell yourself "I habe to own kids with 30. I habe to own a house woth 35." This will only make you frightened and year after year will pass, only to clamp on the thought to make lots of money. There are indeed jobs, which earn more then others, especially IT. But if you hate programming, you will never exceed in that and therefore will be only average in what you do. Maybe you can achieve your goals on a different way - instead of an house you pay rent and safe every month some money when you get old, instead of having your own garden you can maybe rent a garden for a cheap price. What I want to say is we shouldnt be blaming these shitty times because damn they suck, but rather try to make the best out of it as long as we are healthy and can stand up by ourself.
38 here. No savings. Recently got laid off and I run the risk of getting kicked out of the country since I am on a work visa. So I would say everything is relative. Give yourself some time.
Amazing content. I have learned a lot just watching through the interviews. Noah, you are doing a great job. Thank you very much. $1000 is a very thoughtful gift from you to your audience. Bless your heart. Please make this a series. Thank you 🙏
Uncle Noah is such a smooth operator. He is good at talking to homeowners, and that is not an easy task. What a wonderful example of what we all should want to be when we grow up.
Your video popped up today and it was so refreshing to hear that loving what you do, leaving a legacy and really enjoy what you do is where the blessing lies. Lifted my spirits. Thank you for taking the time to share. 😊

I have always watched shows on television with people in these huge houses and wondered what they did for a living. I would also say, " Someone needs to do a show that asks rich people that question. So thank you for this video!
Most times it amazes me greatly the way I move from an average lifestyle to earning over 63k per month, utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, The only thing is to know where to focus...
@@davidbird9341 Wow sir, that's more than a mouthful of profits you're making. How do you achieve this feat consistently? You must be a genius in trading.
Great concept, thanks for getting out there and communicating with people. Love hearing from real people about their career experiences and how they ended up where they're at. Props to the folks in this video who actually took the time to talk to you -- it's hard to connect with strangers these days because people are so wrapped up in their own lives and don't wanna take the time to talk to others. Very interesting video. ☺️ We made over 100K this past year and live in a country home. We have chickens and sit outside in our newly constructed screened-in porch, and watch our plants grow in our retirement. ☺️ Peaceful, and successful life.
I like the painter’s story. He gave someone his art work to sell for him, and made $20k without having to do the leg work of going to places to show off his art. He had no expectations when he did that. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hated that story. Almost no lessons to be learned, other than following your passions and asking about opportunities. Dude just lived in a time where you could walk into a place with almost no qualifications and still get a job, and then got even luckier while working there.

This is the second video of yours I’ve watched now. I LOVE THEM!! Again, thank you for doing this and I am thankful to the people who are brave and unafraid to share their personal business with you. It really seems entrepreneurial ventures are one of the best avenues to wealth. It seems those who go after it, smartly, are rewarded. Thank you for doing these videos.
The secret is to believe in yourself and take that leap. You will be rewarded one sunny day for your bravery. I hope to find the courage to take that leap real soon.
This was great. I’ve done this sort of thing for years. Some of the best opportunities have come from putting myself out there and seeking out knowledge from the people that have done it before me. Knowledge + effort will lead to success. Keep at it.
damn, this type of stuff is what motivates me even more. seeing the progress is awesome bc u also get to see urself grow as a person and that’s one of the main things i keep important to me along this journey. mainly so i don’t lose myself and become selfish in anyway but to remain humble. so i can in the end become a) happy and b) just give back to those who helped me along the way and those in need.
Amazing video. You did the same in 2021 and after a year I can see how much difference you had in regards to the way you ask people. The previous one was a bit jarring and that could be the reason why you did not get as many people to open up as this time. A person runs into someone's door and say 'I'm a UA-camr and I want to know what you do for a living?' doesn't give a very good impression. But this time you say 'I run a tech company and we do UA-cam videos to help young people to be successful. Do you have any advice for them?' You gave yourself credibility, you let them know you are not just doing this randomly, you let them aware of the purpose of the content, and you are sincere. I think that makes a huge difference. I look forward to seeing more of these.
Damn, it's so frustrating and impressive at the same time for me.. In Russia or Belarus from where i'am originally if you would try to speak to someone who live in house like this.. They're think they own the world and others aren't people at all. It's just mindblowing to see there are people who not attached to this money cult. Amazing job, keep going Noah!
Great and insightful video from Noah. A thousand dollars!!!. As a Nigerian and the hardship we face here, winning just a quarter of the money will transform my education 🥺
When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start. Fortunately great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance
This is an amazing way to learn about their experiences and perspective on life and careers, I just love the fact that, you think or many people think that they were born into a wealthy family when in fact it took them hard work and discipline to get there in the first place. It happend through time not in time and my gosh gotta say, I am going to watch this again.
I love the walking the streets approach. I've been living in that neighborhood for the last 4 years. You found some really friendly and lovely people. Thanks for sharing!
Love this video. These people are humans just like us, if you know something or want to make something that inspires you just go for it. Amazing video keep it up!
I swear to god I have talked about doing this very thing for so long! Knocking on the doors of million dollar homes and asking what they did for a living. This is so inspiring, I think I am really going to give it a shot.
Keep in mind that people accept to talk with him, often because he is one of them. Noah has a big company and is a millionaire, like them. If you are not a white person, it could be more difficult to get people to talk to you as well. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody who is not white tries to do this, and some of the neighbors call the police on him.
I'm from the Philippines and this is my first time ever to write a comment on UA-cam... This channel gives hope to everyone to succeed in their own individual uniqueness.... :)
Great video man. It’s so true, so many people have access to people who are successful and asking them the right questions could give insight to lead you down a path that could change your life.
This is awesome advice. The overriding theme to this and the other videos Noah has done on this subject is find something you love, and would do for free if you could/had to. I’ve been self employed almost my entire life, and the two jobs I did do for a short time inspired me to start another business. Life is far too short to do something you don’t enjoy. I watched my dad do that his entire life, and although from the outside he looked (and was) successful, he was always miserable.

That's so cool you found Mea Argentieri I nearly fell off of my seat. Her work on The Silence of the Lambs was instrumental. At the time, horror and thriller films were not popular, even slashers where no longer making money, and she helped put a psychological thriller back in the game. The movie grossed $272.7 million worldwide on a $19 million budget in part because of her work. She deserves her success and is a real inspiration for taking chances in spite of all odds. She also gave great advice!

Awesome.
But theres always gonna be people saying "rich people are evil dudes stealing from the poor" lmfao
Yes you'r right ! I need to meet more people too this year ! It's the second video I watch, I subscribed :-)
@@blazefx8984 Neo-leftists here in America love the victim mentality. It's one of their foundational pillars.
wealthy people are far more humble and kind. poor people more likely to be are rude and belligerent
One thing I’ve learnt from you in that video is just be brave and ask simple questions that can motivate you in order to stay focus as you work towards your dream. Much appreciated bro 👍
I love this series that you do. So sad that many people won't talk to you about their success especially after you have delivered your mission.
Some successful people aren't proud about how they achieved their financial success (loan sharks, pawn shops, liquor stores, even hedge funds, etc). Others might just be skeptical of people walking up to them and asking about personal information on camera.
@@DaveM-FFB True, and I experienced many are just plain sellfish and won't pay it forward and help even a little. But a few will try to help. Even less are good teachers.
@@edbutzwiggle4227 Very true, years ago when i was a senior in college, our class went to convention where Kevin Spacey took time off to share his success stories. it was very inspiring moment for me
Most rich people like to keep to themselves.
Not everyone is comfortable to talk to random people from UA-cam about their life story at a random moment of the day
Great insights, Noah.
It needs to be a series
Agreed
Big agree.
My thoughts exactly. This is the first video in a while that i really actually thought ok this deserves more than a like
awesome vid man, we need part 3
"Everything in moderation, including moderation" 😂 I feel you Aunty.
Getting there is so hard but I'm seeing progress, as slow as it may be and as small as it may seem, I'm celebrating every win (in a financially responsible manner)

What I gather from these interviews & which I have employed in my own life is “stay the course” & “ hold fast.”
“You can plan all you want, but life just throws things at you.”
#Solid advice
this video was incredibly insightful. it amazed me how most of them were just so open about their journey. good things like this need to be shown more. it’s so inspirational. thank you for this!
Really like this type of content Noah. It shows that anyone can build wealth doing pretty much anything. Discipline and looking for the right opportunities are the keys.
Thanks amigo! You r the winner for $1000.
😳
The last few folks were the best! ‘Everything in moderation, including moderation.’ Love it, thanks for doing these.
Love this series! Thank you for sticking through all the awkward rejections to give us these gems
I love your path, social media management. How do you learn that?

It's interesting to see how some people talked about it so comfortably :)
As someone who is trying to start my own business it was nice to hear the advice and journey of these people. Inspiring 😊
I observe that success goes hand in hand with how happy you are while you work, thank you for inspiring me to get involved in such a great job
"You cannot beat somebody who is having fun" 😊
Thanks Sylvia. :)
Thank you for also showing the rejections. If you want anything you HAVE to get over fear of rejection to take it. This video really inspires me to go for it. Keep up the great content! New sub. 👏🏾
I have always watched shows on television with people in these huge houses and wondered what they did for a living. I would also say, " Someone needs to do a show that asks rich people that question. So thank you for this video!
Thanks Marche :)
It is really interesting to hear other peoples stories. How diverse they are and how open some of them are about sharing it.
Love this series! Inspirational!

This kind of content is super-positive and encouraging...& inspires me to do more. You're using your tech powers for good & not evil. Congrats
Most times it amazes me greatly the way I move from an average lifestyle to earning over 63k per month, utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, The only thing is to know where to focus...

Love it, well said. What a charismatic fabulous woman. Wish I could meet her.
Very interesting video. ☺️

Love hearing this :)
I like the painter’s story. He gave someone his art work to sell for him, and made $20k without having to do the leg work of going to places to show off his art. He had no expectations when he did that. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
True. But that's the exception, not the rule. Most artists don't make anything.
@@Gothiqueluv Yeah that does not happen, guy got so insanely lucky I can't even comprehend
Hated that story. Almost no lessons to be learned, other than following your passions and asking about opportunities. Dude just lived in a time where you could walk into a place with almost no qualifications and still get a job, and then got even luckier while working there.
@@portlandgoose4727 i felt like he left something out.

Yo Noah I got as many friends and family to subscribe to and watch you as I could because I also want to set them up for success.
Damn that’s love

First time watching, and just went through a whole deep dive great videos
Damn, it's so frustrating and impressive at the same time for me.. In Russia or Belarus from where i'am originally if you would try to speak to someone who live in house like this.. They're think they own the world and others aren't people at all. It's just mindblowing to see there are people who not attached to this money cult. Amazing job, keep going Noah!
maybe because of socialism ? Here in India its the same thing.
most ppl hate the rich and the rich have to keep their guard up all the time
I think its admirable that you keep trying even when people tell you no. There's a lesson in that alone.
Nice one bro, keep it up!

This is an amazing way to learn about their experiences and perspective on life and careers, I just love the fact that, you think or many people think that they were born into a wealthy family when in fact it took them hard work and discipline to get there in the first place. It happend through time not in time and my gosh gotta say, I am going to watch this again.
