Great! Reminds me of some of the late Stephen Sondheim's songs from "Anyone Can Whistle" and "Company." A joyful noise, indeed! Thanks for posting!

I saw the last Broadway performance of Anyone Can Whistle, sitting in the first row, nearly 60 years ago. Also Company, during previews with Dean Jones.

Wow! You saw the great Angela Lansbury, Lee Remick and Harry Guardino, and Dean Jones before he bowed out of "Company" owing to the emotional pressures of his divorce, all of who made Sondheim ring with their talent, like we'll never see again.

Yes. Later I saw Dean Jones's replacement, Larry Kert. Jones was far better. Kert couldn't stop emoting, which was all wrong for Bobby. With So Little to Be Sure Of is, I think, Sondheim's most romantic song. And I still remember when the rock spouted as a true miracle when Guardino reentered, dropped his bag and told Remick that her whistle was good enough. I also saw Remick in Wait Until Dark, also from the first row. She was a beautiful woman and excellent actress and singer.

I saw the show twice (out of 12 performances). Karen Morrow was terrific, as were many of the songs.
