*UPDATE* 3.14 Has radically changed how the Power Priority Triangle (PPT) works now. What it now does is increase laser weapon capacity and improve recharge times of lasers when power is pushed toward weapons. Improve shield recharge times and reduce incoming damage on shields when power is pushed toward shields. And speed up recharge times of boost and reduced the cost of using boost when power is pushed toward thrusters (Boost is the new replacement for Afterburners). I've been a Star Citizen backer since 2014 and learned a ton from this video! Subscribed and I'm going to check your other videos to see what else I've missed.
Wow learnt a lot from this, thank you! I've been meaning to look up MFD's as a lot of the functionality in SC is pretty poorly shown. 1 thing I can add.. at around 2:45 talk about looking around and selecting MFD's and then using mouse scroll to zoom in/out. A better way to do this is to tap middle mouse when focusing a specific MFD or if holding F, when your cursor is on an MFD. This will zoom in on that MFD and then mouse scroll can still be used to scroll down the MFD lists. This functionality is in the key binds menu but i cant remember what its called. on second thought you may have meant that but just to clarify the difference ;)
Dude , this is the best tutorial I have seen . Keep up the good work. I have been playing for months nearly every day and I still learned a little something from this.
Thanks for putting this together, it's hard to find a decent diagram or simple explanations of what things do what, and having someone explain it is much easier since I have a visual disability, I don't follow videos well without that aspect. Look forward to more content from you.
I've only watched two of your videos but I subscribed in the middle of your second one. You are very good at breaking down a lot of information and presenting them in bitesize pieces. I really appreciate that you show and tell the button used to complete the actions you are describing. Keep up the amazing work as time allows.
This kind of interaction was what Track IR was made for. You can do this reasonably fast but not without pressing Z or holding F. Track IR eliminates this step and frees up your hand for more important things in the cockpit. I agree with you on the temperature component calibration. Science and physics often record temperature in kalvens.
Amazingly detailed video! Great work. I guess, especially to new or returning players, these videos are just great! I, as I‘m playing SC since 5 days have learned many, many things, can’t wait to implement them into my gameplay. Thank you!
i really enjoyed that intro. the music, the lcoking on to the target with the missles and its destruction. good stuff. havent seen the rest of the video yet but sure i will enjoy it too thanks
I havent watched any other videos of yours yet, but if any are 25% as good as this one then I will be very glad I subscribed to your channel! Looking forward to more content!
I didn't realize that about the power distribution triangle. I thought it was like Elite: Dangerous' pips system, where prioritization affected speed, shield effectiveness, weapon cooling, etc. On one hand, I'm glad I don't have to fiddle with that stuff in combat. On the other hand, that's a pretty substantial tactical decision-making function to miss out on. Especially for Star Citizen, where other crew can manage the power while the pilot flies. Very nice and thorough guide btw. I've played since release and I still learned a lot from this.
By far the best content on star citizen especially when it comes down to the very things that really matter like mfd etc. Have u by chance made a vid on Vitals and multiple vials found in pharmacy? Subbed
Great tutorial man! Learned a trick or two I was unaware of! :) Would be cool if you did a video on different armors and utility items and what their pros and cons are.
I did learn some new stuff, thank you! Shield hardening function was something that confused me so much and i couldn't figure what it is suppose to do... turns out it isn't working at all. It was a good highlight how much work there is to be done on MFDs and i feel this should be fleshed out sooner , rather than later. As a note, in some cases RIO/co-pilot seats do work with some functions, but i think it varies from ship to ship? Also, of the pilot leaves his seat, the co-pilot can operate all the system, minus the flying. Looking forward to your next video, cheers!
Yeah, the RIO seats can overclock their own guns but that is about it from what I saw in my testing. And yeah, playing musical chairs can sometimes grant the co-pilot some functionality over the ship, but I decided not to include it because it can be tricky to glitch the game out to get it to think that you have the controls etc. :P Glad you liked the video! o7
Just found out your chanel, i love it, i already knew some of the stuff u talking about but maaaan, i wish you had done this before i started playing, i think your guides will help a lot of people XD And learned some new tricks too :D
Hey great informative vid. Still newish and getting a grasp of a few things. (Theres lot's :)). Sure would like to know how other people have their Targeting Bindings on their Joysticks ( I have Warthog & X52 separate set ups) Watching your vid sure showed the uniqueness of the different ships and it's manufacturers. Do all ships have a 3d navigation HUD? Sure beat's popping out to Mobiglas all the time. Anyways good vid
Even though this is 2 years down the road I found this video very helpful. I just got into SC (v3.18) and I am overwhelmed since there is a lot to learn. Will you be delivering any updates for the current versions? I am going to work through your series of guides. @HybridVAudio
so... I watched the video on turrets and left the browser on while I was in Star Citizen. All of a sudden I hear under attack (was messing around on my carrack in single player free fly mode). I was frantically looking to where the fighters were coming from and baffled that there were enemies in free fly. It wasn't till Hybrid V Audio started talking that I realized.... it was UA-cam.
Hybrid V, Thanks for these tips, they’re really helpful starting out in the Verse. Do you know of or can you summarize a process for setting up Star Citizen on multiple monitors (especially one not using Nvidia Surround)? I run my sims on a three-wide configuration, and have read the game’s config file should be modified to run it across multiple monitors. Thanks for any help!
Hmm, unfortunately, MM setups are not my forte. It's been on my to do list for a while as I will be doing hardware reviews soon. I'll poke some of my orgmates to see if any of them have any experience with MM setups.
How do you have your circle centered rather than drag it to change direction? Like rather than move the circle then your ship moves in that direction, your ship just moves when you do if that makes sense??
I use a joystick so by default it always stays centered. If you use a mouse, disabling the virtual joystick functionality will do what you are asking. Go into your keybindings and finding the 'Flight - Movement' section and bind a key to the 'Cycle mouse mode (VJoy / Relative)' option. Using this toggle will lock the mouse to the crosshair. Hope that answers your question! o7
how do i make my cursor looks like yours. i absolutely hate the tether to move around. would much rather have it how you do. i know q will turn it off in the turret but cant figure out how to do it if your the pilot
Go to the options menu, go to Keybinds and find the 'Flight - Movement' section. Once there, look for the 'Cycle mouse mode (VJoy / Relative)' option and bind a custom key for it. That will toggle off the virtual joystick mouse controls. Let me know if you got that sorted!

Thank you. I’ll be watching this again.
I’ve been looking for this type of content for SC for years. Well presented and informative.
Thank you.
SUPERB clarity and level of detail. Thanks for the review, looking forward to ongoing content!!
Thank you! Ive been looking for a video like this forever. Definitely helped out this new player

Good job, great video... you got a new subscriber!
Excellent vid sir. Shared it with new pilots who can really learn a lot from it

Such a great Video! Thank you.
Really good, in depth videos
Thanks for this excellent tutorial
Man, your content is amazing and make me need a little course to stop dying into this game hahahah
Great Video Just what I needed
Try a middle mouse click while looking at an MFD. That will focus the view there and even allow you to scroll with the mouse wheel.
Ah forgot about that little trick, good catch!
Double clicking F when hovering does the same thing, I think. I have to test it.
great video, thank you very much
Well done

good vid !
Can you (not you personally, lol) zoom way in on the screens?
Just wondering how far zoom goes in this game.
