Christmas weekend was around so I planned for a weekend gateway to Mussoorie to enjoy the chilled weather and mesmerizing scenes around. Mussoorie was jam packed with tourist even in the times of Covid-19. I suggest everyone who are going in the peak season that please do take care of yourself while enjoying the queen of hills in this pandemic times.
Mussoorie is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometres from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range.
Uttarakhand, a state in northern India crossed by the Himalayas, is known for its Hindu pilgrimage sites. Rishikesh, a major centre for yoga study, was made famous by the Beatles’ 1968 visit. The city hosts the evening Ganga Aarti, a spiritual gathering on the sacred Ganges River. The state's forested Jim Corbett National Park shelters Bengal tigers and other native wildlife.
