There literally a album series called "Amapiano Vol 1 - 5" and Vol 1 came out like 2016 already with artists such as Kabza, MFR, Gaba, Bantu Elements ect. WIth classics such as Spirit and Let It Be. First time I heard Piano was 2015, I think is was infact JazziDisciples at Club Ne, might have not been JazziD but it was definetly at club ne.
Piano beeeeeeeen popping. At least one thing about Phori is he never said he's a founder or anything, infact he acknowledges others and where sounds originated as far as he knows. Its people who jumped on piano in 2019/2020 that think Phori is the founder of it.

@Steph , you need to conduct an interview on behalf of the audience not for your own consumption. Just because you know a particular subject , dont assume all of us are aware. I really wanted to know more about the concept of Tanzania and Ghana as well as other subjects that were rushed through.
There were also lots of interjections and talking over the guest and that led to the conversation losing its structure and flow. I would understand if this was any another form of mainstream Media like Radio or TV....this is a Podcast so i doubt this relates to time.
Please watch some of the best interviewers like Joe Rogan , Howard Sten even MacG and Nkulukelo here locally...just to get a sense of how to conduct a good , well coordinated interview.
Believe me i m your fan and want this channel to succeed. I even feel you guys and the Sobering are two of the most underrated podcasts in the country.

Please learn to listen better to the guest and allow them to speak and express without constantly interjecting, especially Steph on this one. Amapiano has made more millionaire than the lotto. There's a gap in the market for financial consultancy and etiquette training here. If that money can be reinvested in the black community that would change the game. Not just opening chisanyamas but super markets too. Lease out generators to every block kasi. Such things.
