As an older sister who is REALLY sheltered, I never really got to talk to my parents about girl stuff, and for the longest time it freaked me out. Even at 15 things are weird to talk about with my parents or even my closest friends. This really helped and I thank you SO MUCH for doing this video. You're the best, Brooke ❤

This is a weird request, but could you make more vlogs (kind of like this) where you just have discussions with us and act like we're really there and having a conversation or giving advice? As someone who struggles with finding friends, your videos always brighten my day, so no matter what we'll always be here!
Best dating advice I've ever received was from my band director when he was lecturing us on PDA during band trips. He said "if you feel the need to act like you're dating, you aren't mature enough to be dating" Basically, if you have to be using pet names, PDA to the max, whatever, at all times, then you shouldn't be dating. At the time, I didn't really understand, but a few years later, after watching friends go through relationships, the more all over each other they were, the shorter the relationships lasted
Thank you, I’ve never really had girl talk. My mom left me and my siblings when I was nine and don’t have an older sister, just two younger sisters. It’s nice to hear a girl talk to me about girl things, because let me tell you, it’s not very nice when your dad has to teach you about periods and stuff when he, himself doesn’t know anything about them. One thong that is harder than not getting a big sister is being the big sister ( which I am ) it is so stressful not knowing if what ur teaching is good for ur little sisters

If I ever got famous, and somebody asked me who inspired me, I would say you, because you are just the most kind, genuine person who doesn't just care about themselves and their lives, and they share issues with others that others wouldn't mention because it would be said to be embarassing and stuff, but it's not, it's just life, and I'm so happy to find someone who's happy to speak about it
as someone who doesn’t need to use tampons because they don’t have a period, the educating on how to use one is actually pretty useful. dunno when it’ll need to be useful, but just knowing how it works kinda gets rid of a subconscious mental discomfort with it lol
I didn't want to use one but had to when I went swimming one time and... As a person who has light(er) periods half the time, it sucks when u gotta take it out lol. it rlly is scary. Not as life threateningly awful as I thought it would be, but I still don't like using them 🤣
@@geanbean1305 im lowkey scared to use them because my periods tend to be very light, especially near the end. i still use pads because i like to keep them on when it's slowly ending. scared i won't be able to do that with a tampon
@@mollythedancer same, except I gotta use em if I swim. It is kinda painful to take out if it isn't soaked through though, so I don't recommend using them unless u have to my friend

Some of these questions can be asked the same to men. As a 14 year old male, I have had the temptation to date when I was younger, but now that I've grown a little bit and understood from a distant perspective how dating is(especially other teens my age) I personally have made a rule not to date until sophomore year or maybe even freshman if I feel committed to it. I completely agree that it is something a lot of young people are pressured into and it can take a turn for the worst if the person is not comitted or comfortable. Just to help spread this to others, I wanna say that do what is absolutely comfortable for you! I have set boundaries for myself on what is okay and what is not for my personal life, especially relationships and dating and I think this is something others my age should think about too.

Thanks for your advice! I actually started wearing makeup when I was in 6th grade,(11-12) because I had a ton of acne on my chin and I didn't know how to care for my skin. I had tried concealer, but it never seemed to blend out so I just started out by wearing foundation and nothing else. Now I'm 14, and I don't wear foundation ( finally found a good concealer match ) now I just wear concealer and mascara. It's fun to do highlighter and blush though! If you're starting to wear makeup, just go slow, and know that you're beautiful inside and out ❤ and you don't need makeup! ( but still fun to do!)

@@dormin600 well patriarchy generally just means male dominant. So since our political systems (well most of them) aren't patriarchal anymore. The society's definitely still are. There's a lot of male privilege/double standards and sexism especially in the media. So I'd say most parts of our society is patriarchal

If I ever got famous, and somebody asked me who inspired me, I would say you, because you are just the most kind, genuine person who doesn't just care about themselves and their lives, and they share issues with others that others wouldn't mention because it would be said to be embarassing and stuff, but it's not, it's just life, and I'm so happy to find someone who's happy to speak about it
as someone who doesn’t need to use tampons because they don’t have a period, the educating on how to use one is actually pretty useful. dunno when it’ll need to be useful, but just knowing how it works kinda gets rid of a subconscious mental discomfort with it lol
I didn't want to use one but had to when I went swimming one time and... As a person who has light(er) periods half the time, it sucks when u gotta take it out lol. it rlly is scary. Not as life threateningly awful as I thought it would be, but I still don't like using them 🤣
@@geanbean1305 im lowkey scared to use them because my periods tend to be very light, especially near the end. i still use pads because i like to keep them on when it's slowly ending. scared i won't be able to do that with a tampon
@@mollythedancer same, except I gotta use em if I swim. It is kinda painful to take out if it isn't soaked through though, so I don't recommend using them unless u have to my friend

Some of these questions can be asked the same to men. As a 14 year old male, I have had the temptation to date when I was younger, but now that I've grown a little bit and understood from a distant perspective how dating is(especially other teens my age) I personally have made a rule not to date until sophomore year or maybe even freshman if I feel committed to it. I completely agree that it is something a lot of young people are pressured into and it can take a turn for the worst if the person is not comitted or comfortable. Just to help spread this to others, I wanna say that do what is absolutely comfortable for you! I have set boundaries for myself on what is okay and what is not for my personal life, especially relationships and dating and I think this is something others my age should think about too.

Thanks for your advice! I actually started wearing makeup when I was in 6th grade,(11-12) because I had a ton of acne on my chin and I didn't know how to care for my skin. I had tried concealer, but it never seemed to blend out so I just started out by wearing foundation and nothing else. Now I'm 14, and I don't wear foundation ( finally found a good concealer match ) now I just wear concealer and mascara. It's fun to do highlighter and blush though! If you're starting to wear makeup, just go slow, and know that you're beautiful inside and out ❤ and you don't need makeup! ( but still fun to do!)
I started wearing makeup at 9 bc of insecurity but it was just mascara and lipgloss and concealer for my acne

@@dormin600 well patriarchy generally just means male dominant. So since our political systems (well most of them) aren't patriarchal anymore. The society's definitely still are. There's a lot of male privilege/double standards and sexism especially in the media. So I'd say most parts of our society is patriarchal
