My CV is the hundreds of hours of free videos on my channel. I’d imagine that most people would get an idea of if I might be the right teacher for them or not through those. Perfumery is an art, not rocket science, so I do not believe a formal qualification is necessary, although I do have years of dedication to the craft to back myself up. There is a lot of misinformation out there on the topic of perfumery already and I have no desire to add to that.

Really hope you enjoy it! That is quite ironic since I went by there a couple of years ago and left them a bottle of Vanillawood to see if they’d be interested in stocking me. The notes on raw materials are in an excel sheet in the introductory modules section, the accords and other formulas are all inside the videos (mostly the fruity accords, floral accords and perfumes through the ages videos)
My recommendation would be to watch through my back catalogue of free videos since there’s a massive amount which you can learn for free already on the channel

Totally agre with you 😢 I went to a 2 days DIY perfume course and felt that it wasn't enough to learn everything... ended up with a "diffuser smell" DIY perfume and with lots of questions....I take notes whenever I can about perfume but still wanna know and learn more about it. It's an awesome idea to teach others. Sad to hear about your experience with the French perfume school 😢😢😢 society and humans really kill talents with so much restrictions & burocracy.... Yes a lot of make your own perfume workshops are really directed at a fun day out activity than serious perfumers. Thank you for all of the kind wishes. And the reason for no international shipping is that perfumes are flammable so none of the regular couriers will take them and the others often charge more than the cost of the perfume yourself, and you need to do special training and have a lot of orders to open an account with them
hey sam I just had a question about my formula. basically I only use essential oils right now for making my perfumes. No other raw materials. The problem with my perfumes that I have been making are too oily and not projecting. I do not even know if I am doing the formula right. Can you please help me?
Your channel compare to other fragerance channels is serious and based on real science. Other's are just reviewing fragerances and reading promotion material and some delusionaly belie that they are real experts. They copy each other, and some nonstop fishing simps with new top 10 fragerances women love the most or panty droppers. Fact is its all bs becouse they not have real studies behind these "top 10" promotions. How on earth you can describe super complex smell just with words. It is like putting hand trough hole in the wall and then describe how room look like inside

This is quite exciting to see; always has a passion for fragrances & perfumery, but ended up working in the flavour area under a flavourist as their compounder instead (Still fascinating and I think it is really similar to perfumery). Being exposed to so many raw materials and understanding how each of the materials (Such as Ambrette ABS, Ethyl 2-methylbutyrate & Cis-3-Hexanol/Hexanal) work in different solvents really shows how crazy a formulation can be.
I am on the edge of choosing perfumery course because either they are expensive or too shady and thank God you came with this at the right time!!! Thank you!!!!
I haven't read it yet, but there is a book called "The Ghost Perfumer" that reveals the truth about the Creed family. That they didn't create fragrances and other perfumers did it for them. Have just enrolled to your course. Can't wait to start it. Greetings from Kyiv, Ukraine!

Yes you can log in any time and do it at your own pace. A raw materials list is given on the website and it’s recommended that you have those to follow along and get the most out of it. There are some tips on suppliers inside the course.
i spend 1546 pounds £ for 3 online courses ..I’ve been watching your channel since you started i learn alot.. my english language 60% good but i’ll buy your course next month because need adding more knowledge and information to my level.. i’buy your app since one year its very helpful to my training and diluted the oils plus its become my library for my oils. i hope there is some down load documents i can save it in case if i need to translate to help me to not missing some thing ( just wish) . thanks 🙏

I’m glad my app is helping! The course doesn’t include documents which you can translate, however, the videos are hosted on Vimeo and there is a Google chrome extension which you can use to translate the captions for Vimeo videos to your language just like in UA-cam. You can test this out before purchasing the course.

However, I do have allergies to synthetics, as synthetic raw materials in perfumes cause me migraines and headaches, so I only can work with natural ingredients. I’d imagine that it’s only a small subset of all synthetics which cause you headaches. My course teaches using them for the formulas, so if you want to get the most out of it you’d want to use them. However, all of the techniques and methods I teach are still exactly the same using naturals only so you could still follow along and learn a lot, you’d just not be able to make the formulas.

It’d be hard to guess without seeing an example formula but usually synthetics help in this regards

Fact is its all bs becouse they not have real studies behind these "top 10" promotions. How on earth you can describe super complex smell just with words. It is like putting hand trough hole in the wall and then describe how room look like inside

Yes I taught myself. And yes, ISIPCA is one of the best perfumery schools in the world, I’d go for it if you can afford it.

i’m having issues with the payment on the website, have tried multiple cards and it keeps saying unexpected error. Anyway to fix this?
I think some banks aren’t trusting it since it’s a brand new website. A couple of people had that issue and managed to sort it after phoning them

This is quite exciting to see; always has a passion for fragrances & perfumery, but ended up working in the flavour area under a flavourist as their compounder instead (Still fascinating and I think it is really similar to perfumery). Being exposed to so many raw materials and understanding how each of the materials (Such as Ambrette ABS, Ethyl 2-methylbutyrate & Cis-3-Hexanol/Hexanal) work in different solvents really shows how crazy a formulation can be.

I haven't read it yet, but there is a book called "The Ghost Perfumer" that reveals the truth about the Creed family. That they didn't create fragrances and other perfumers did it for them.

Yes you can log in any time and do it at your own pace. A raw materials list is given on the website and it’s recommended that you have those to follow along and get the most out of it. There are some tips on suppliers inside the course.

i spend 1546 pounds £ for 3 online courses ..I’ve been watching your channel since you started i learn alot.. my english language 60% good but i’ll buy your course next month because need adding more knowledge and information to my level.. i’buy your app since one year its very helpful to my training and diluted the oils plus its become my library for my oils.
i hope there is some down load documents i can save it in case if i need to translate to help me to not missing some thing ( just wish) .

I’m glad my app is helping! The course doesn’t include documents which you can translate, however, the videos are hosted on Vimeo and there is a Google chrome extension which you can use to translate the captions for Vimeo videos to your language just like in UA-cam. You can test this out before purchasing the course.

Great video! and I'm glad you made a course. Can I ask when you where applying at Givaudan, what kind of smell tests did they do? did you have to identify different scents or was it something else entirely?
Yes it was things like identifying them, arranging different concentrations of the same thing and picking the odd one out.

Hi Sam, I have been watching your videos and learned already so much. I'm sure I will learn even more from your online course. However, I do have allergies to synthetics, as synthetic raw materials in perfumes cause me migraines and headaches, so I only can work with natural ingredients. For some who would like to purchase your course, what would you suggest? Many thanks, E
I’d imagine that it’s only a small subset of all synthetics which cause you headaches. My course teaches using them for the formulas, so if you want to get the most out of it you’d want to use them. However, all of the techniques and methods I teach are still exactly the same using naturals only so you could still follow along and learn a lot, you’d just not be able to make the formulas.
