This is a very nice and thorough review. It might be a big unit, but it will be super cool as part of the shack. Radioddity has one of the best customer service I have experienced so far, so I wouldn’t mind to support that company. Thank you very much. Salty Walt was right when he said; “You need to watch 741’s videos”
I bought this radio a couple of years ago when it came out. I have only used it twice. I made the mistake of comparing it side by side with my FTDX10 on 10 meters which is totally an unfair comparison. I did the mod to it. I noticed the warranty void seals on the side of the case were already broken from the factory. I think they could have just put a jumper where the wire loop is. Overall I wasn’t that impressed with the radio and wish I hadn’t made this purchase. I’m going to solder the wire loop back together and put the jumper back and sell it. But after your great in-depth review I am changing my mind and going to find a spot to install it permanently.
Great video, Thank you! I have had the Anytone 5555N for 10 years. It is almost identical but lacks CW mode and wattage output is half the Radioddity. Have over a 1000 contacts using a homebrew dipole in my attic or a Wilson !000 cut to 10 meters when mobile.
Great review . I have the QT 60 long version. I use it portable and on battery from Cold NY ! End fed half wave or ground mount 5/8 I made . I talked all over the world on it. and does digital modes with sound card and cable from laptop. Easy make. FT 8 to Japan and many more. SSB to Cayman islands . Even Russia and Bulgaria. Got England. Norway ,Poland and many more countries on 10 and 12 meters. Band world wide now. With the PC programming cable and moving jumper you get 12 meters. 20 AH LiFePo4 runs hours POTA . draws 10 amps peak . Salty Walt has the QT 80 ! Very good radios. Get some speaker wire and build a antenna for that QT 60 PRO . Just what I did . POTA fun. From cold NY ! salty Walt has many video's on wire antennas' They work great ! I do about the same ! 100's of great contacts . Them radios have great audio from stock mic. 73 from Boston NY .
Three different movies actually..Apollo 11 was the first and I can't recall the other two off hand but not Prince Bride... although that was a good movie
Looks cool. There's a QT80 too. Too bad didn't have that in the 70s 😂
Lol

Another radio that uses a huge case that won't fit in most modern vehicles.
Totally agree
