There is a problem common to many sites like MURF and that is many potential users don't have a need for a monthly plan. Many simply want to use it for a one off project and that can be expensive.
Hey Sunshine, specifically for this you can switch to the monthly plan and cancel after your purchase. This way you have 1 full month full access to all 60 or 120 voices depending on which plan you choose.
I wanted to use this as an audiobook reader and then i noticed the the usage limit of 24h per year on a paid subscription. Since i read about 1 or 2 books every week this is going to be a huge problem.
The problem with ai voices like murf's is that when they speak English, it still sounds like they're trilling a bit at the end of words which end in a vowel, and it tips off any native English speaker that it's an artificially produced voice.
Hey Tim; thank you for the video. Great job in presenting the tool. Question; does Murf has the capability of dubbing the voice of a UA-cam video presenter in a different language? I understand I would have to upload the new language script, but would the tool enable the lip sync? Tks
I've asked this for you. I quote "You can export the script of the video in SRT format and have it translated into a different language, as we do not currently support the in-house translation of the scripts. Now, the translated SRT file will still retain the original timestamps. We support synchronizing the generated audio's duration with that of the SRT timestamps, which helps you with your use case of creating dubbing videos and syncing the voiceovers with the videos." I hope this helps.
They offer commercial rights to use the voiceovers generated for videos on UA-cam or any other platform. You should be able to monetize that as long as your text content is original and has no copyright conflict. According to my understanding and information, you can submit the generated voiceovers to UA-cam as long as there is no copyright dispute in your work. However, the policies of UA-cam and other third-party platforms regarding the use of AI voices are constantly changing, so I recommend that you check with them for the most up-to-date information.
Hello, thank you for the video :) I have just one question, i couldnt find it anywhere … if I buy the licence to use Marf and will want to use it for commercial use … I understood I can do it for myself but the question is: Can I also make the voice over text and sell it to someone … like on fiverr, people per hour, truelancer, upwork, etc.?
Sure. You have complete commercial rights for the content you create using Murf and can sell your projects or host it on platforms like UA-cam for monetization.
@@TimVerdouw I will. I'm just saying, I've seen ZILLIONS of text to speech programs and they ALL claim to be better and different, and they ALL turn out to be 1. The SAMR. 2. Disappointing, and 3. Absolutely terrible and useless.
This is something Ive been sampling and researching heavily currently. All of the artificial voices out there pretty much suck dirt, or a service might have 1 or 2 voices that are serviceable for really short duration talking. Murf's pro voices are outstanding. Head and shoulders above anything else out there. many of them do a great job with realistic inflections. This is the service I will be using.
Can it read aloud text from a pdf as Speechify does, or do you have to convert it? I'm worried that converting could be a problem with pdfs from textbooks or research papers where the text is interrupted by tables and other things.
The dawning of AI has the word Danger with a capital 'D' written all over it. We're heading into uncharted waters. Obviously this is a very early iteration. The idea of having the ability to perfectly replicate your own or someone elses voice is beyond scary. I really don't see a positive purpose for this type of advanced technology. And to be able to electronically duplicate a child's voice? Oh man, in the wrong hands this has the potential to lead to catastrophic consequences.
Dear Samantha (F), Chocoletti Treasure? It's chocolatey. And Charles (M) presents as in gifts not as in introducing something new as was in your context (accent on the wrong vowel). The Terrell and Natalie examples were great however extremely short. 50% of what you demonstrated were not good examples. Why showcase those? This proves to me the tech has not arrived yet. That is a big "No Thanks" for me.
Hey thank you for your reply! You may be correct, but the cool thing is that you can correct each word by applying your custom pronunciations. I’ll also show this in the video.
This software sounds good in the preview they put together for each character, but that's as far as it will go. Once even an intermediate user types in a paragraph to speak adding emphasis to certain words is the hardest and longest process. Just getting the voice to raise properly for a question at the end may take over an hour. And worse, each character will pronounce the same word differently. Good luck. But this is still considered cheap software, but they just over price it because of their previews. Yours wont sound that good. And if it does, it won't be continually throughout your entire text. My 2 cents? Trash this crap. Get a microphone and do your own voiceover. Otherwise, you will get garbage that is not worth the time you put in for even one sentence. Just deleted my account. Don't bother. I wouldn't buy if it was a one-time fee. Takes too long to get sounding decent.
That's right. And imagine if you decided to do it in another language, and there are all these incorrect pronunciations, and you, not a native speaker of this language, will not understand this. The price is too high, especially the unlimited tariff with compulsory payment for a year and even for at least 5 people. And if I need it alone? Besides, there are already competitors with good sound and an adequate price.
Hi @r2d224, thank you for your comment. I have no idea what ghostface is. Could you please explain what you mean by that? Murf.ai is a text to speech software that can convert any text into natural sounding voice. You can choose from different languages and accents. Thanks for watching!

Great video, what software do you use to edit & record this video, side by side camera and the zoom in effect?
It’s incredible, but can there’s a slight electronic sound on some words, I wish they could get rid of that.
Many thanks. Superb video!
I have ADHD and I need this for when I get overwhelmed studying. I can close my eyes.
I made a demo score for a video and I tried to download the demo but it wouldn't let me, it says that Nate is in the basic plan
I feel like I watched you do a review of this service before in the past.
That’s right. They’ve done some great development and renewed the whole app now.
Is it possible to use your voice to read Arabic Texts?
Ken is amazing!
How does Murf handle emotional speech? Angry or sad or happy and laughing?
Hey Barbara, good question! I've checked, and there are only a few voice-overs that support this. Most don't and come as they are sampled.
Great video. What do you do with UA-cam codes?
Not sure what you mean with UA-cam codes? :)
Very nice and information video. thanks for sharing this important video
For a kid's book, I'd use a female voice of late-20s to late 30s quality.

Thank you! Great AI and your video is very handy!
Glad it was helpful!

Does it have sound effect options ie sighing, gasping, coughing etc?
As far as I know that's not possible.
I'll watch... but I have my doubts.
Why have your doubts Timothy? Listen to it yourself 🙂

Yes you can use it on monetized channels.
How much monthly or yearly to use this service as member?
Hey Patar, it depends if you take pro voices, monthly or yearly. The pricing and free trial is on the website.

At the moment, they do not support the reading of text from PDFs. You can convert them into DOCX or TXT files and import them into the Studio.
