Dun dun dun dun dun...... Dun dun dun dun dun DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN.... I NOW KNOW WHY YOU CRY The only badass action movie that's makes me do pushups and cry at the same damn time
Well Done! Terminator 1 & 2 had some of the best title sequences in movie history. T3 was such a bland opening! It's like they knew they couldn't match T2 so didn't even make an attempt. Salvation tried to pay homage to the original credits, but threw out the classic Terminator theme for some generic "fresh" score. It amazes me how they throw out that iconic score and try to do something completely different! It's like giving Indiana Jones a new theme, or even Jaws. One of the reasons T3-T5 wasn't able to match the tone of the originals.
Thanks, faz! Appreciate it! I'd love for them to just do something like this with every Terminator movie and have some consistency with the opening sequences for once. You know you're in for a show when Mission Impossible does it's opening. I'm a little embarrassed to say out of the entire movie, the opening of Salvation is the best part (a lot of people worked hard on that movie obviously). Fingers crossed they'll do something similar with Dark Fate!
@Oliver Mercer I thought Terminator Salvation had a lot of great ideas. It really suffered from the studio forcing a PG13 rating, shifting the tone, and the script changes (allegedly) required by Christian Bale to play John Conner. Terminator 2 did such a great job introducing a new Terminator with the liquid metal T1000. I waited in anticipation for T3 and to see how they could top the T1000! Of course the TX was a huge disappointment! I give Salvation huge props in introducing an interesting new Terminator, Marcus. He should have been the main character and the entire movie revolve around his story, not John Conner. I loved the idea of a robot / cyborg who maintained his human consciousness, and then had to deal with learning he is not actually human. Marcus obviously felt a lot of guilt from his past, but we never got to explore that backstory. A huge missed opportunity. But as Stijn van Kralingen said, i give lot of credit to the people who worked on the movie. I think we got a watered down story due to script changes and the fact they were trying to launch a trilogy instead of simply making a solid movie. It was essentially the story of how John Conner got his scar. Never really felt he was in danger. Especially in Skynet where they have about 2 Terminators around lol! But at least we finally made it to the Future Wars! I really want to see what happens after the resistance "wins" as described in Terminator 1 & 2. Instead of showing us all these things that happened in between, show us what comes after in the future.
@Oliver Mercer Exactly! Unlike T3 & T5, I saw real potential with Salvation. I read the original story was all about Marcus. John Conner wasn't even really in the movie. You heard John over the radio and he was like this mythical figure. I love that idea! John has never worked as a main character IMO. But Bale wanted to be John Conner and story was changed to revolve around his character. Unless we are going deep in the future, we know his fate. It's really just a stop gap story, and studio's want to portray John as this action hero! He should be a leader who makes tough decisions sending human troops into battle, and to their death! And dealing with the burden of his decisions, the loss of his troops. Not doing all the work himself, or being a "prophet"!!. I'll save my thoughts on the BS "Prophet" from Genesis lol. Like Kyle gave Sarah every detail of the future wars in that one night? That's not the info John would have lol! I've heard of the proposed Salvation sequel. But a lot of that is new news to me! I think their is a script out there. I would love to know where they were going to take the story! Even though I hated Genesis, I also want to know what was their endgame. I have watched T3D clips on youtube. Never got to experience in person. Although a family ride, it felt like Terminator. And they gave us the Future Wars, or Laser Wars as you called it! But Laser Wars is a perfect description. Give me Big HK-Tanks plowing over skulls, the Flying Hunter Killers and an army of T-800's with a bunch of lasers lighting up the skies! Start the movie with John and his troops in boats approaching the shore and basically give me the first 25 minutes to Saving Private Ryan only with Terminators. Maybe Lyle Reese has a brother who can be the main character and he has to go one last mission to ensure victory. He can travel the apocalyptic landscape landscape and give us some visuals we haven't seen. Could even have a reprogramed Terminator to tag along. Something like the cinematography and world building of Blade Runner 2049, only with a post Judgement Day scorched Earth.
I agree, one of the things I never understood about Salvation was it was mostly set during the day, completely ignoring what Kyle Reese said, and what we saw in T1. They should have kept the Terminator theme throughout all the films. Also, they should have had less people in Salvation, more people starving, instead it looked like they went camping in the woods. It wasn't that scary to them. It's like being in a horror flick with no killer. There's nothing to worry about. I'm sorry, Salvation could have been better. I would have made the film better using T1 as my guide.
@@blackhawkjohn1 Completely agree! The blue print was there with T1. A dark future, people starving, watching TV's on fire with no screens. The future of Salvation looked much brighter, literally. I find it hard to believe models with fake boobs running around post Judgment Day. Everybody looked pretty well off!
Hearing this theme makes me think that the machines are about to attack. And that Skynet is about to become self-aware. And that Arnold S. and Linda Hamilton are about to kick some mechanized a**. Well-done!!!!!
This is excellent. Love the throw back to T1. Would be nice to see a different title animation tho. Just like T2 did it's own thing and has an iconic opening of its own. Your music is so good it deserves its own distinct opening animation.
Impacting Cool Nice excellent intro Friend well done is Awesome and The Title sequence is Great and is a Fantastic work for The Terminator Dark Fate movie i Love it is Perfect well done and you,re a Genius :)
Great job man! I am a terminator fan and this is great work, I actually waited for the movie to begin! I like it a lot, fresh but keeping the original tone..just perfect not over done! Kept waiting for direct by Tim Miller 😎
I would love to see the opening to Terminator Dark Fate that is a transition from Skynet to Legion. Something in the vein of James Bond movie Goldeneye were the fall of the communism was shown during the opening title sequence.
Did Tim Miller I love this beginning because it looks so for real the way it's going to start I believe so strongly this is the way it's going to start respecting the first two triminator especially the first one. Pretty cool man.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and I hope it does starts like this. It deserves it in respect of the first one.
The new one better open up either like this or something similar in order to tie in with T1 and T2. Those movies had a style to them that needs to be brought back
Am I an a****** to say f*** this guy for making something so incredibly PERFECT that we all know as fans of the Terminator franchise will very likely not be used in the official film. Great video but what the f*** man smh, when is Hollywood going to learn if it ain't broke don't fix it.
No that's not right! Needs to be more DARK FATE cause DARK FATE is after JUDGMENT DAY not before. This is really awesome though. I do love the music theme! WELL DONE!
Looking amazing mate. Not perfect, but I like it. If you put this title in new film, probably it would be the best and only part of it unfortunately. Hope I am very wrong.
Thanks a lot, Dark Starr, appreciate the comment! The music is a mix between the T1 theme and a track from Power Glove. So it's not a 1 to 1 recreation of the Terminator theme. I wanted to pay homage to the opening of T1 but not completely replicate it. So the theme is not exactly the same.
@@CROSSFADEEDAFE Sorry,I miss it but it makes sense to sound different. I hope they go on the intro sequence like you did predicted but I know they never will. This title sequence gave me the feeling of seeing The Terminator for the first time. This is a work of art and a masterpiece in every possible way.
This was a billion times better than what we got in the end 😩
oh man the goosebumps killing me..well done man..Terminator 1984 vibe is the best
Hey, Hollywood,
Please, hire this man NOW!
Hollywood isn't old Hollywood, probably they can't understand your feel.
Its beautiful. It's like this stepped straight out of the 80s, early 90s. :)
Fantastic wish people who are making t6 see it and use it well done
Would be so stoked if the opening credits look this good! Love the theme and the credits. Hopefully they stick to the classic like this! Awesome work
