The raid of Zeebrugge is celebrated to this day by the Royal Marines Commandos as one of their biggest significant engagements of WW1. In consequence of their success 2 Royal Marines of the 4th battalion were awarded Victoria Crosses, (the highest award in the British armed forces) Captain Edward Bamford DSO, RMLI and Sergeant Norman Augustus Finch. This map is awesome 👌
I have to say that I never really found medals by themselves would be so enticing, but apparantly the Brittish also inducted many of those that showed bravery into an exclusive order (i think veterans that saw frontline combat should also get an extra vote for it) something you may love is the story of the lions of the menin gate, they were donated to australia (i believe it was by request of a general however) to commemorate the sacrifice of the anzac forces, they were then restored in australia but in such a way that the new parts were collored slightly differently than the original parts, given they had suffered shell dammage, this was again, to remember, lest we forget they stood guard at the biggest australian war monument but in 2017 to comemorate I believe the battle of pashendaele, Australia gifted them back to Belgium, they first went on a tour of the commonwealth however, being displayed at exhibitions, but as our moronic art functionaries had let slip that they would put them in a war museum the Australian government justly issued the ultimatum that they MUST again stand guard at the Menin gate, where they had stood guard and survived for 4 years of hell I think that is just amazing, Germans are much less prominently honored however their wargraves are kept just as pristine as those of the Brittish, but their gravestones are grey and usually lay flat on the ground instead of standing upright, this could be symbolic, I know the Brittish cemetaries were initially run by the imperial wargraves commission, so a brittish institution, so likely the germans had a similar one, and it does fit in the artstyle of prussian monuments I also know that at least a good number of lost soldiers were apparantly buried by locals in local cemetaries during the war, seems strange now but the burials during the war were generally done fast and unceremoniously so being buried in a proper cemetary must have been an honor few could hope for. one story of an American pilot who deliberatly crashlanded away from where people could be hurt was apparantly given this treatment, the people probably sent word about him to the Brittish but nothing happened, apparantly however this guy was given a remembrance ceremony every year and in a stroke of luck this knowledge reached a surviving family member who had heard he was mia and declared kia but no body or grave, it must at least be nice to hear that not only was he buried properly but people cared enough to honor his sacrifice every year.

Not only does this map play great and bring a really awesome new aesthetic to the game (I'll admit, the WW1 vibes and atmosphere are probably my favorite part of this game outside of the good combat), and it's also super historically detailed. It`s for sure can be made only, when the visuals are 100% complete. So, in any mean, not earlier that two last maps will be fully completed with mesh&geometry packed and fully textured. Considering appearance on CTE only Zeebrugge map, i suppose Helgoland is still in designing stage.
Also trailers are made to promote the sales of the DLC, since the DLC is split for premium members, the DLC can be bought as DLC when BOTH DLCs have been released, so expect a trailer around that time. I understand you tho, BF trailers are amazing, and I want to see it aswell.
I was asking myself and around the youtube for the last 2 months regarding the trailer for new DLC. Im thinking now it wont be released any soon. Or dice just saving money and time to not to make them??? For French DLC trailer came an month earlier before release, for Russian DLC was couple months before release and for TT, there is none yet, so most likely there would not be?
Now this is an amazing map with an amazing scary background , think about it ..why Hollywood is too dumb to adapt something like this in a movie ? this raid could be an epic movie with a lot of action sequences . Glad DICE explored this thank you Flake

Did anybody else's heart sink when when you saw that sailor sitting amongst the debris and bullet holes? It takes something hellish like that to remind us that we aren't invincible nor immortal and in real war, people do die.
I will not lose the hope of submarines included till release.Beside that I think the map plays good and with textures and probably a storm going on it will look incredible
2199 I heard submarines were cut because they couldn’t get them to balance properly, so let’s hope apocalypse dlc might include the battle of Jutland which was the largest navel battle of ww1 seems best time to add submarines.

I'm on Xbox one and I wasn't able to play it for entire day yesterday and today. And yes, I have the CTE but the servers are terrible, nothing new with DICE.
given that hundreds of thousands died for a bit of territory only to lose it again straight after on other fronts this one clearly isn't that terrible on the other hand a couple casualties vs hundreds of death and wounded is pretty steep, especially when you realise that the germans probably mannaged to remove the wrecks within days anyway, and restore the bridge even faster
I dislike torpedo boat and destroyer balance as it is very unrealistic. Two of the boats' mini-torpedoes should be enough to destroy a destroyer and the auto cannon should do much less damage than it does currently. To balance this, torpedo boats should have to go back to their spawn to resupply, again increasing realism and encouraging tactics.
That is the most dumbest idea ever. Why would u go back to base to resupply if u already 1 shot your target. Destroyer would be useless, but the HE cannon needs be nerfed against other boats
