Erik Jensen I think Mike has likely written many bad songs. But then he rewrites them over and over until they are great songs.
Greatness isn't something that falls from the sky for the fortunate to catch. It is chiseled and carved from solid rock by those who see the greatness inside.
Gaming With Ryan Lyrics weren’t bad on that at all, he was explaining how he tried going places but people won’t leave him the fk alone about Chesters death asking stupid ass questions or the same question over and over!! He wrote the album at different times all while coping with the death of one of his best friends and co workers!!!
Definitely a Living Things vibe with this one. Love it.

I thought I was the only one who felt Chester's influence in this track. The melody hit it right where Mike wanted it to hit and neither of us are disappointed.
You can see in LPTV episodes how Mike often directed Chester's vocals in the demo/recording process. We're now hearing Mike attempt to render it himself instead of getting someone else to sing it. I notice it really clearly in the Boris sock puppets in the other video - he makes the 'mouth' do these big open wide gestures for 'belted' lines that in reality he just sings in a slightly different key, in an understated way, but you can imagine how Chester would belt them if Mike were directing him.

Couldnt have said it any better, you just cant compare linkin park to other banda because lp is just sooo deep, with them i started learning english, they are the reason i like rock, i used to put headphones on my moms tummy lol when she was pregnant with my little sister (she is now 16) she has been literally listening to lp all her life, and just like me and u she agrees chester forever and mike is just awesome, his lyrics his voice....just deep, emotional and just awesome

Along with Ghosts, this is my favorite. I don't even know what genre are your music's, but that doesn't matter because like Linkin Park, it was not a pop, nu metal or any other kind of band for me. this song truly displays how good of a singer Mike is. Surely his range isn't that wide but he maximizes his vocal abilities well. I'm proud of him for stepping it up with each album he releases whether it'd be with LP, FM, or by himself. I believe that Chester really pushed him to be better or to even try singing on some of their songs and now, he's grown so much confidence in his singing. Absolutely love this song and it's my favorite off of PT.
It hurts me so much and I feel an empty void inside because it feels like Chesters voice should be on this, but it is missing. So I just think of his voice while listening and pretending that it's there
